I am so so excited for this. Props to SBD for listening to what the customer wants

It's a very safe launch. Definitely understand why they went with black on black. Personally I'd love to see some brighter colours, different patterns and details on the IPF approved list (like we see in the singlets for weightlifting). The market for activewear is so big, design on singlets seem quite limited.

This is true, A7 isn't known for using more than 2 colors in their designs. Will be interesting to see what they come out with in the future or if other companies get involved in the market also, for more colorful patters.

Agree! The kit seems to be generally thicker and tight fitting. I noticed the stiffer wrist wraps too, but in a good way (i dont like the stiff wraps at all) and the deadlift socks fit really nice and snug and i didnt have to roll them down 😅

Stiff wraps are very stiff haha, no idea how people use them. Will be insane seeing you crushing some lifting in your training kit, excited for commonwealths

While the all black singlet is definitely a classic, I wonder if some would be called for depth on squats, given the lack of side stripe. With that said, I’ll still get them. 😂

I won’t be a problem a lot of singlets don’t have a side stripe such as the classic titan singlet

No i wouldn't say its tight enough to warrant going down a size. If you wear the SBD large shirts then L will do also for the phantom tees.

Thank yu very much, I havent weighed out the singlets to get the exact numbers, but feels similar in weight to the original collection. Defy is the only singlet that has weighed less so far.

Whey are these coming back?

How are the sleeves in comparison to inzer? The inzers are really tight and feels like wraps. They gain you a little advantage so i hope these SBD sleeves are compareable.

sbd is coming out with a “v2” sleeve next year, it’s listed on the recent IPF approved equipment list. Those v2’s are speculated to be similar material to the Inzer Ergos. The current SBD sleeves do not use that type of strong neoprene. I would recommend you wait until the V2s come out if you want an SBD product.

So I’m 6’1 1/2, and I’m 230lbs. My legs are 26 inches, and my waist is 35 1/2 inches and my chest is 45 inches and I just turned 20, and I still feel like I’m going to grow in body weight but slowly of course. What singlet size should I get? The website has a size chart and the 2XL is for people that weight 220-254lbs I want to compete and would like a singlet for long term use. Which size? XL or 2XL?

Hey man, for your first singlet i would recommend the 2xl size, especially if you plan on still growing and want something longterm.

Honestly I have Defy, Phantom, and Endure, and really don't see a difference other than color

Ahh good question, your best bet will be to compare an A7 singlet to an SBD one and see which fits you better. I haven't tried the A7 singlets before

Might just be the material, but mine is definitely more slim fit in comparison.

At my age this all seems like a marketing gimmick, at the end of the day all I need are sleeves, wrist wraps and a belt. However, after reading the IPF approved list for 2023, I am curious about the future. It looks like there will be 3 types of sleeves (current sleeves, V1's and V2's) and I'm guessing it might have something to do with stiffness. I wonder if the Phantom sleeves could be a version of the V1's?

@@mojeedsulayman1518 If you hit a 900kgs total you're entitled to your post comp photoshoot ;) . My guess is they will do something similar to Inzer. If you look further down the list at the A7 products you can see that they have new sleeves too in varying stiffnesses (also already in production unlike SBD). SBD are also doing new wrist wraps and belts. Wonder if it will be a 10mm or some prong type options?
