We could do a DNA test right now and proof he is the uncle of EVERYONE here. And don't come at me with excuses like: "but that is not how DNA tests work.... on multiple levels."

I started my miniature painting with Uncle Atom and Sam Lenz. I can’t wait to see who else will be on the factory team. I have my hunches on who they might be.

I started model painting in the mid 80s (good old Humbrol back in the day) but have to say the last couple of years with Speedpaints has been the first time I think I've actually ENJOYED painting models! Its always just been a chore I had to do to get figures on the table. Last year I set myself the challenge of painting 1 figure a day, and I got to my 365th inch by late October! Have recently discovered Uncle Atoms videos, and I really enjoy the positivity, great addition to the team!

when i heared the first time that army painter is bringing the fanatic paints i was very excited but now iam worried, will the old warpaints line will be discontinued? i love matt black for what it is and tbh i dont want to replace it, its perfect for me

They will be replacing the old line, but any paints that have a Colour Primer match are staying the same colour, such as Matt Black.

iam not worried about if it color matches, my worries are about the finish and how the paint behaves on my palette/ brush and how much do i have to dilute the paint to get the properties from the old matt black, if its even possible with the new formula

can i use speed paints as a wash on myu minis? for example a green gobling, black primer, grenn goblin skin and at the end a green speed paint to make shadows

You'll want to thin it just a bit first, but I've used them as washes a time or two. The behavior is a bit different, so I recommend having a model you dont care about terribly to use as a tester. (I recommend wizkids deepcut orcs, btw. Costs about $5 US, so a much smaller investment than most other models. If you dont just print your models 😂)

They'd work great as a wash, but you'll definitely want to mix them with some Speedpaint Medium first. This will give you some great vibrancy! Keep in mind, it's likely to tint the overall colour of the area too, but this can be used to great effect. You can even thin them and use them as a glaze at the end of painting an area to really bump up the vibrancy or shift the color. :)

Still waiting for some of this stuff to show up at my FLGS. He says he ordered the racks months ago. He also said he hasn't even heard of the Fanatic range. In your defense I don't find him to be most proactive/up to date store owner. [shrug]

First Sam Lenz now Uncle Atom. I’m gonna guess Ninjon and I’m trying to figure the last one out, I’m gonna guess Jon over at Miniature Hobbyist.

I would like to see small paint packs like vallejo did more affordable easyer to get our hands on plz army painter make that happen plz

Alot of people would grab them that's what happen with vallejo I would do it with your triad system with fanatic paints and well your speed paints and air caues I know I would be buying more that way

Are the air paints color matched to the new Fanatic line? Curious about those myself but don’t wanna Invest in them if the color match isn’t there.

Some of them are. If they have the colour match symbol on them, such as Greenskin and Daemonic Yellow, then they have been colour matched across our Fanatic, Air, and Colur Primer ranges.

I'm kinda confused by the term "Factory Team". Wouldn't Factory Team be the un-named, hardworking folks that run the machines to create all the painting goodies that we buy? If i was a 9-5 schlub working in your factory, i'd be kinda ticked-off at this. You stated that they'd be joining your event team as well, which makes sense - they show up at all major events and promote the products. What about their individual channels? Do they now just use and promote Army Painter product, or are they free to promote whatever they'd like?

The term Factory Team comes from the world of motorsports, they're teams closely tied to one sponsor. Our Factory Team consists of official sponsorships in an effort to partner with artists and gamers transparently in support of fun and engaging content for the community and with each other. 😉
