Vinny's one of my favorite drummers. Not overly flashy and very organic. Love his feel and power.

Vinny Appice = Power drumming

Straight power precision rock drumming with the best laid back feel ever.

The Appices are so underrated. Carmine inspired John Bonham, among many others, and Vinny played in the best incarnation of Black Sabbath, as well as DIO.

Love Vinny But Sabb is Bill ever period . Creativly , and in the sound made macabre too

Truely ICONIC drum roll intro. Very unique. Love Vinny's playing. He has long been one of my all time favorite rock drummers. Drum roll master of all time imo.

Learned to play listening to Dio. I wish these videos were out 40 years ago. I remember trying to watch drummers on MTV, couldn't see shit .

One of my favorite drummers, his sound, strength and style are unique. Every Dio song has Vinnie's signature. Dio's songs without Vinnie playing the drums are really nothing.

The drums on the Dio records are second to none. He can’t explain it, he just feels it. He sounds like Jackie Jr. from the sopranos. I can’t count this shit. I just need to feel it and hear it.

I always liked the flat drum sound for some reason in dios songs big drum sounds are cool, but when recording live drums I like this sound better

my biggest influences were vinnie and les binks

POWER is why! No joke, it's to get a heavier sound. I think his brother, Carmine, sometimes does the same.
