Way cool ~~Excellent info ~~~Gracias..
Thanks for being you! I came across your videos while searching for carvings with battery powered chainsaws, ( got off track) but, I was mesmerized by your attention to detail. Your oneness with the wood! I've done just a few carvings, mainly because I simply wanted one, and couldn't afford one. So I watch alot of carving videos. Your work is stunning! YOU, have a gift for bringing the wood back to life! Just wanted you to know your creations are inspirational!

Hey Ken, it was great seeing you at Chetwynd this year. Great video. Valuable info on all levels. Hope to see more of your videos
😍😍
Thanks for taking the time to explain your process. Few carvers on KZread take the time to go into detail. Keep making videos.
Thank you very much Ken for these videos - you have inspired me to go onto a similar road as yourself. So much comprehensive detail, much appreciated learning for me down here in New Zealand. All the best to you champion, - Andrew

Thanks for the kind words.May your chain always be sharp!!!
TO: KAREN Vanderburgh: I mix spar varnish , boiled linseed oil , and mineral spirits. Usually half spar and 1/4 of the oil /spirits . Some carvers do 1/3 of each. Brush on, wipe off excess . Usually apply 3 coats for a nice satin finish. Ken
Nice saws!!!!
thanks for taking the time to share. do you have any experience with the 543xp saw, thinking about buying one already setup for carving .

Hi Ken, where did you get the 'eye shaping bit' for the die grinder? Cool work by the way

From Ken" I made mine using a ball file and a rasp (rap became the eye tool) If he googles “eye tool for die grinder” whoever makes em and sells em will turn up.
Awesome work Ken. I'm interested in doing this art form. My question is how do you prevent kickback?. I notice you do a lot of work with the bar tip and I've been told this can be a fatal no-no. What's your secret? Thanks. Bill Stevens

Ken, I am in Indiana, and just carve as a hobby in my Garage. Fur and eyes, those are two of the areas I would like help with. Is there any chance you could feature those in a video. I use the die grinder and angle grinder as well...but could you talk about the bur you use and and pointers? -- Diane

Thanks Diane. I forwarded your comment to Ken. Yes, I'd like to do a short with Ken about carving eyes. If he has time I will try to do it late Spring, please check back this Summer.
