i agree/disagree with his statement.. im a tap dancer and a hiphop dancer and believe it or not, the hiphop culture was inspired by the jazz tap era. Rap evolved from bebop jazz and early breakdancing moves were inspired by flash tap moves. and the original idea of the hiphop culture is similar to how the tap community is now adays...a family....are they different? yes but i wouldnt go as far as saying they are nothing alike.
