When you complete a challenge do you then decide what sinking fund to add it to or are you also giving monthly to your sinking fund? I get confused on the savings challenges - I want to add them in during 2024 but I currently do a zero based budget and allocate every dollar to bills/flexible spending/sinking funds - then there is none left for these savings challenges - am I missing something?

Hi! For us, each savings challenge is going towards something different. For my 2024 savings challenges, one is saving for a family member's wedding, one is saving for an extra debt payment, one is going towards our emergency fund, one is contributing to our "fun" money sinking fund, etc. I do still contribute to our sinking funds with every paycheck. Do whatever works for your budget! Some months we are able to contribute more towards savings challenge than others. With our last paycheck, I wasn't able to contribute any to our savings challenges as it all needed to go to expenses. Hope that helps! :)
