Lee and other famous people who rescue dogs are the reason I I support most rescue because they think breeders and SUCH A BAD TGINF WHEN GETTIFN A DOG AT A RESCURE YOUR PAYING JSUT AS MUCH AS WHAT YOU WOULD PAY A BREEDER, and for the bread thing I didn't even notice that, I will always and forever for now on be getting all my future dogs from breeders unless a bad circumstance.

I adopted a dog from a rescue society here in Florida. They saved her from a breeder that was moving and you could tell that she had been used over and over. We treated her like the queen of the house and she definitely was.

I love you for saying "Do not support these breeders." While there are dogs in shelters needing homes, no-one should buy from pet stores or breeders. If you want a purebred dog, get one from a rescue that specifically handles that breed. There is no excuse for giving your money to these vultures. Thank you, Lee!

I just pray that Lee checks on that guy periodically. There is NO way he's going to stop breeding and selling. He will probably keep a couple of the puppies he has and then start breeding them. The authorities need to get involved to stop him for GOOD. Evil man.

I am so furious, wet bread on the floor, I can't even fathom how unhealthy the puppies were. They looked so happy running around, even though this breed is not one I would get, the last one in your truck with all the unique patterns was so cute. Thank you for rescuing them.

I just hope this breeder is reported to animal protective services, and that they keep an eye on him. Nothing will stop him from using the puppies he kept to continue to breed and give them horrible lives. That breeder needs to be permanently shut down.

@robynhills8650 - It's possible that the breeder had the dogs in those crates, lined up in his garage (?), ready to be *picked up by Lee* and *other rescuers* that day. Note they are *clean,* if sparse. Those pieces of bread (a poor "treat") appeared to be on a wooden deck, wet from recent rain, so maybe that indicates that the dogs *can roam* in some safe, enclosed area outdoors or inside. We don't see the _whole picture,_ though I've no doubt this breeder is *disreputable,* and I'm *relieved* that Asher was able to rescue 4 of them. They're going to have *wonderful lives* with *the pack* at that *beautiful sanctuary* Lee & others have created!

My husband and I went to visit one of his friends who owned a farm. They had Aussie puppies there that they were selling. They were not breeders. The female got pregnant before they got her in to get her spayed. The father was there as well. Both very healthy and very happy. We were not planning on getting a dog but one of the puppies kept following us around. Long story short this puppy is now 13 years old and is the best dog. So sweet and loving - she truly is amazing.

We’ve had Aussies for about 20 years. Like yours, they were “accidental” conceptions (male and female dogs separated, but they found a way, small family farms, etc). They are such great dogs-super smart and loving. When our kids were little, they got “herded” by our dogs. We have absolutely loved having them in our lives 💜

I have no love for backyard breeders but I’m glad they gave them to you. They will have the best lives

Bread isn't the best thing actually, it expands in the stomach and can cause a lot of gas, but rice and chicken is really good for nervous dogs, just fyi :)

I'm so glad you persisted and finally persuaded the breeder to surrender at least these four, who will now finally know what it is to be a dog and not a breeding machine! I hope you're successful in negotiating for more of his dogs; it pains my heart to imagine the awful lives they've led and how any that are unfixed could just go into another breeding situation! Seeing these guys run around for probably the first time in their lives was tear jerking!!

I have never seen anything more beautiful than that prison break. Those poor babies have no idea what a wonderful life is ahead for them! They were nervous when you got home because they smell all the other dogs and they think they just went to another breeder.

Maeve’s legacy lives on! All my dogs are rescues. Frenchies are one of my favorites. I was offered by a breeder to take a female and it would be my dog but I had to let them breed her twice. I said no. I ended up finding the perfect blind French bulldog in china that was in a puppy mill. She’s happily living her retirement at home with me. You did good!

Heart warming. 4 Frenchies to fill part of the loss of Maeve. You have been blessed man. If it so happens that you manage to receive rescue more Frenchies, this is a sign of more loss being filled. We can never replace our loved ones with another of it's kind. But it's a reminder of resilience, strength, love etc... Which keeps growing to allow us to keep on building to our full potential. ❤🐾🌺

Multiply that by every popular dog breed, then multiply that by breeders around the country. French Bulldogs are in huge demand right now, so backyard breeding operations are cranking them out as fast as possible. (I'm not talking about responsible kennels where the breeders love their animals and do their best to take care of them and breed responsibly.)

@andydufresne5297 Was going to post the same comment, Andy. They're all in danger, when a breeder is irresponsible. I wonder what the remaining dogs will experience? I wonder about the females he uses for continuous breeding. Maybe Lee will talk about that.
