My mate and I just use the mod, ‘Player Led Peace Deals’. It allows one to take all land regardless of one so chooses, but we always choose to be fair and allocate territory per AI contribution.

It looks like the original player was not very experienced, he probably forgot to build a supply hub in savoy leading to terrible supplies in the alps and an easy push opportunity for the axis

Defending whole France is not so hard... You just need to reform industry, take Maginot extension focus, build 10 fort at Sedan and Dunkirk, and max fighters...and concentrate all your troops on the mainland.

The most satisfying liberation of France ever man.

at first i was thinking the same but even if he took that port the axis troops would still get some pretty good supply because there was another port a couple of tiles away but by retreating to tripoli he made it so that the axis troops dont get supply

Great save also when you cut off in Italy you don't need every tile just the railways (to starve in mainland France)

I personally always go for Organization First, since various doctrines help with recovery but only one doctrine tech box helps with reinforce rate; and reinforce rate matters!!!

As a Calaisien, I can confirm we just wanted to meme on Chile in 1940 and make our own noodle France.

It's amazing to see how you managed to save this disaster save into victory despite the odds being stacked against you.

After watching this I am fully convinced that you would have done a better job holding France than Blum did.

I mean. Blum wasn't in charge then. In 1940, you're looking at Paul Reynaud, with Gamelin as commander. Now, I'm sure he'd do a better job than Gamelin - but then again, it's hard to do a worse job than Gamelin.
