Saving Desk Space with a Vertical Dual Laptop Stand
Ғылым және технология
Do you use two laptops? I found a great way to preserve desk space AND sanity with a really simple, functional, and classy solution: a dual vertical laptop stand. Pair that with a KVM switch and you're good to go!

There is no review video on youtube in Japan and I found your video. It was very easy to understand. So I decided to buy it on Amazon.
Just bought me one after watching your video. Thanks!
I got it yesterday and I'm enjoying the tidy benefit
nice video, learned about kvm switch from you, need to try it out. thanks
Really useful video, thanks
Thanks for the video.
Love the vertical laptop stand and your big laptop haha 👌😃
ALWAYS go face down. In a perfect world, all the cooling ports should also face away from each other. The hot air should go up, and away from the other laptop. Not trying to critique and thanks for the vid.
KVMs are a gamechanger. I love my setup with the gravity vertical stand, but I have to fiddle with the USBs sometimes and it's a pain because to fiddle with because the mechanism will stick. I think this stand, just the way you have it configured will solve that issue. Sorry, I know this is an old video lol.
thanks!

A lot of laptops have a BIOS setting where you can get it to turn on when AC power is connected
Very nice monitor! What’s the model? Tks!
keeping two laptops side by side (assuming one is on and other is in sleep mode), does it cause any magnetic interference between two SSD/HDD for close proximity?
How do you use it as far as having the laptops on, all the time or how do you make sure they're turned on?

In the BIOS settings you can set it so it turns on when AC power is connected, or depending on the model it might be able to turn on when connecting to a dock eg Dell
Looks very compact and practical. One question, how do you shut down/restart these?
@Antipiglet

Yep. I have the same question. It's impossible to turn it on with lid closed.

@@Antipiglet There are BIOS settings to allow you to have it for example turn on when AC power is plugged in. With Dell models it can also turn on when a Dell dock is connected too.
wont the laptops overheat on the stand?
I'm afraid that this could cause some dead pixels to Dell G3, don't you think? It's no secret that it has thermal issues and keyboard gets too hot at gaming/demanding tasks. I own a G3 3500-u20p and was hoping to use something like this stand, but one that allows to keep the lid a little bit open in order to avoid heating the screen and cause dead pixels. (Sorry for my English)

I have since sold the laptop, but I never had problems with overheating or dead pixels. Of course, I didn't use it for gaming, so your experience may be different.
I usualy just used my gorilla pod to keep my laptop stand up. 2 laptop and 1 tablet saved on it.
Wouldn't it affect the ventilation when the fan is faced down?
@felixpatrick5497

depends on some laptops, laptops that take air from the keyboard might have some ventilation issues but again it depends on the models and the workload.
Have you thought about cooling the laptops?
Can use it as the stand for a 180,° laptop ?
Can it work on carpet, want to keep it next to my couch
How do you turn on the laptop when is on the stand?

normally people won't turn it off, they would just put the laptop on sleep mode. cause it will be inconvenient to take it and turn it on and put it back.

@@Buxtonarmyyno it won't overheat, battery wise not that much, and if you plug your laptop all the time, I'd suggest to remove your battery if removeable.

@@Buxtonarmyy on some laptop models, especially gaming laptops, you need to keep attention on the thermals, some models require air intake from the keyboard so it might affect the thermal and performance, but you can compensate it with turning on the fan on maximun at all times (it will not break the fan but it might make it lound) and tweaking using Intel XTU might make your laptop temps lower.

Don’t allow it to vigil you will break the screen
it is a good idea, looks good, but it has a major FLAW I brought the same stand I think, however because of the made of the stand is either alluminam or other alloy, it affects the wifi signal greatlt
so every time u have to remove laptop, turn on, put it back?

In the BIOS you will have a setting to turn the device on when it is plugged into AC power. So no need to open it each time you want to turn it on
