when someone recites a learnt text about how the engine adapts to good fuel ; and how the knock sensor reacts and adapts your ecu... while standing in front of a carburated polo ... it doesnt even have a lambda sensor ! you know its a shouve it up your face add. that car would run the same on 95 or 98 ; its setup mecanichly for a 95 or less..
@antonisautos8704
4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was a blanketed statement about fuel octane in vehicles. Even fuel injected cars don't adjust for fuel octane unless they are programmed to. If your cars designed for 95 then that's as good as it's going to get. 99 is a waste of money. In the states there's arguements upon arguments over what fuel octane is and what it does for your car. I have 2 cars which have been programmed to advance or retard the timing depending on the the knock sensor information. Can't believe something as simple as fuel octane is so misunderstood. Preach the truth to all you can. Glad to see your comment on here.
@wimpmcgrump7871
4 жыл бұрын
I agree, but in some countries 95 is E10 gas which has 10% bioetanol in it. Some cars before 2000 will not run properly on 95 and you have to run it on 98/99 octane. I don't think the carburator cares, but if the filter is to fine it can get clogged because of the bioetanol. And hoses will dry quicker and disolve. If you don't have E10 gas I see no reason to use 98, it's just more expensive.

They should've waited with the sponsorship for another car.
@kerstas10

@@wimpmcgrump7871 I believe, every country in EU MUST have atleast 7% of bioetanol(maybe i'm wrong on the name, but it has to do something with fuel that is made from trees, nature itself, that can regrow in a short mater of time, maybe not bioetanol it's called, but you get the point, there is no pure 95 or 98 fuel made just from the oil in EU)

Thank you Shell V-Power for the video, I'll always buy Total Quartz .
Thanks Shell for keeping this dangerous shitbox on the streets! ;-) Btw. I use Shell Super Extra Giga fuel and the power of my 1.4 liter Golf has increased from 80 HP to 330 HP. Apart from this increas in power my wife has lost 90 pounds since I feed her Shell Ultra Extra Expensive no Gain Fuel. Her hear is smoother as well. Btw. she is always well lubed. My kids are getting better grades in school and they have started to look up to me as a role-model. I've become a much better man since I use Shell V-power extra expensive for no reasons fuel. Thank you Shell-Jesus.

Lovely car - I had a saloon version in burgandy. Would love another one but it's been nice to see a hatchback example being kept on the road!!!
Deffo do more episodes like this!
