💜💜💜 Love these savings challenges my friend. As for vacationing while in debt I would say it depends on the amount of debt. Like if it’s a smaller amount that you can pay off going gazelle intense in a year or two then go intense. But if it’s going to take longer than two years at gazelle intensity than that’s too long to put off vacations and memories. But honestly, who cares what anyone thinks. Your budget your rules my friend and you only live once 💜💜💜

I absolutely believe you can have holidays and travel while paying off debt. I think restricting yourself to the extreme is the worst idea for some people. You restrict yourself so much that I think you have a higher chance of bingeing on spending. The same approach as people have with extreme diets. Memories and just living life are important as well ❤

We are paying off debt too. My parents ask us to go with them to the beach every year. It costs us about $1500 a year but I cant wait until I'm debt free they already in their 70s. I heard once that if you visit your parents 2 times a year and they live until they're 85 that's only 20 more visits with them until they're gone. A very sobering thought.

I would say go on a vacation and make memories. A vacation doesn't necessarily has to be expensive. The amount of money you pay for a trip shouldn't determine the quality of the memories. You have so many beautiful places in America to visit. We spent a month there last year. Once debt is paid of you can splurge on more expensive trips like one to Europe

For me, I wouldn’t enjoy vacation, if I knew I was coming back home to debt because I didn’t save for vacation, but what I save for, I gave no regrets when I use it for what I saved it for.

Definitely take the vacations if it is important to your family, but once the Washington event is over, I'd supplement your payments to the cruise debt with your vacation budget. Once that is paid off, then start the vacation budget from scratch. For me, I'd hate to be paying for my vacation after it was over.

I think your pool game you need to pull an extra dollar to deposit. I might be wrong but just in case. How I feel about going on vacation and paying off debt.. it’s your debt, your money you should do what you feel is right. Now I don’t think you should go in more debt to take that vacation.. you still gotta live your life

When it comes to taking vacations while paying off debt, I think it really just depends on your income level and how much debt that you have. I gave myself a year to pay off $20,000 credit card debt. I have five months left. I haven’t been on vacation, but but I am taking a vacation in August I look at it as more of self-care. I just really want to go see my best friend, we do this ever year…and I’m flying first class but I’m still on track to pay my debt off in five months even with that splurge.

I think vacation is good but having a budget like you did on your cruise etc. it’s not that a few hundred for vacations is a lot, it’s my mentality. On a 3 day vacation I’m like - I’m on vacation and all budgeting for food, souvenirs goes out the window
