Thank you all for your kind comments. I'm currently away on holiday and don't have much signal. I will try and reply as soon as I'm home.
What a brave man you are to tackle this massive challenge!!! Your videos are awesome with what you tackle nothing beats you keep up the great work !!!!
An exemptional effort! For not being a mechanic, to have a go at a performance car clutch, your doing so well, Amazing work!!
Did a clutch for the first time myself recently, I’m extremely lucky as have a mate with a proper lift which makes a massive difference. Fair play to you doing this on stands
Doing a great job , Like the home made clamp for pulling the shaft out the box . Saved a chunk of money for a tool you probably never use twice .
Hi Big Man. That was an Epic. Journey. Not for the faint hearted. Glad you eventually got to the stage you wanted. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers.
From Auckland, New Zealand. Well done to you, sir. Great video production / commentary / music. True talent.
its refreshing to see some content from someone whos not afraid to admit the odd mistake and doing it from a lock up with no ramp or many other things the other salvage channels have. saving a few quid is always a good idea, the stealerships make plenty. keep on going man, your style and honestly are great....
Well done you! Every day is a learning day. The money saved will make your efforts worthwhile. Great to watch.
Amazing !! You put garages to shame and you did it in a little garage. I hope you go from strength to strength with what you are doing.
Well done mate. Glad to hear you say you're proud of yourself - you should be tackling that job on your own on axle stands.
With a great deal of effort and pride, you have completed the task you set yourself a big WELL DONE 👏
Glad your back. I missed your videos. I hope you get the Audi sorted without too much hassle
Mate your a legend I do a lot of work outside the house on driveway no ramps no garage axle stands for me. Yes your not afraid garage prices are rocketing and some of them don’t even want to do the job good luck and I’m looking forward to next episode. Been an interesting watch.
I enjoy a challenge, but total respect for doing that job on the floor. For people who don't work on cars, that is the one of the biggest jobs you can do how he is doing it. Removing the engine & box would arguably be easier as would just drop it all as one complete unit. Good Job sir!
Brilliant effort on your own. You can understand why it cost so much for a shop to do the job. Really like the Welsh accent. Now subscribed.
A lesson in perseverance, well done pal!
Good job! The sense of achievement you feel when completing something like this for the first time boosts the confidence, looking forward to the next episode. 👍
What a challenge! awesome work so far, keep it up. Very educational seeing the bones and bits of our S1's.
Bloody well done Sir..! Top job. Look forward to seeing it all go back together.
Wow. Hats off to you fella. Massive massive. Achievement. You should be so proud of yourself. Can't wait for next video. Keep up the good work.
Fantastic job👍🏻 total respect, I couldn’t even pretend I would be able to do that, keep the videos coming really enjoying work 🏴
Wow can't wait for part two, well done!
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 well done mate. Especially on your own. Braver man than me. 👍
You did a fantastic job getting that gearbox out. Why are cars of today so hard to work on. Will be watching your next one when you reinstall it 👍👍
Well done great job so far good luck with the rest of it 👏👏👏
I feel your pain mate I really do,been there done it ,but the satisfaction at the end is immense. Unless you give it your best shot you never know. Keep up the great work it will be worth it in the end.
Glad to see you back to making videos on the Audi S1.
£1500 to me seems cheap after watching what's involved! Well done you've saved a fortune.
Fair play to you mate ... its a massive job on any car for someone who's never done a clutch before, but to do an s1 quattro on axel stands is brilliant..... you got this 👍🏼
Awesome mate you've got a set of minerals on you to take on that job🙌 your videos give people the confidence to have a go yourself, I like the way you work methodically and problem solve your way around things 👏
Doing a big job in a small garage and on axle stands, you deserve a medal. Da iawn. 🏴🏴🏴
Well done mate you put others to shame, great video as always, you are a true Red Dragon.
hello mate, just a quick tip regarding your gun, if you take the drop link off and dont use the extensions it will more than likely take them nuts off no problem, its the amount of extensions you have on the ryobi thats causing your gun to lose impact
Well done to you mate, I do odds and sods on the floor( probably attempting shocks including, droplinks, track rod ends, lower arms etc on a mk 2 Leon ) that’s a huge job and you’re doing great with it 👍🏼
I've watched several of your videos and I have to say I'm impressed, your dedication to making these cars the best you can is inspirational. Speaking as a near 70 year old with mobility 'issues' I have to pay a garage to do all but the most simple of repairs. I have a 2006 Range Rover L322 Vogue SE 3.6 TDV8. I must be f***ing mad. But I love it, it is my 'forever' car but at 70 that ain't so much of a worry.🤣
I’ve done a few. They’re Ok on a ramp but to tackle it for the first time on your back!! Well done you. I’m watching this as I’m gonna do one at home and was wondering if anyone had put a vid online. I’ll leave the prop in place and swing the engine/box forward to get shaft off and not bother to drain gearbox
Cracking work. Maybe it's like undoing a jar lid after someone else has had a go and the Ryobi had started it. Or maybe not 😂
well done bud for having the courage to have a go where others would just give up at the first hurdle !!! Keep going 👍👍👍👍 I've just subscribed 👍
Great work. A perfect time to treat all the underbody corrosion and apply wax-oil in all those box sections 😊
A big job that. Well done on getting it done and making an enjoyable video at the same time. Keep up the good work.
Great job matey, and in such a confined space 👍
great job, well worth the effort when finished.
Cracking work so far mate
Very well done Mate !!
Such a massive job to do on stands. It's absolutely knackering working on the floor. For the sockets that lose the locking bearing, find some tiny neodymium magnets and glue one in where the bearing was. It works great and is a cheap workaround.
Fair play to you mate. Admire your determination and endeavour. Keep the videos coming because they great😊
Cracking video mate 👍👍🏴
Legend fairplay... Determination is the key to success 🎉
Well done bud I've done many a clutch in a garage just like yours so I feel your pain and frustration.
Quality mate.... Perseverance pays off
You should be so proud of yourself , what a nightmare job , I wouldn't have taken that on , so I take my hat off to you . Looking forward to the next part 👍
You done a great job mate well done
Well done, gees a lot of work, Nice job.

well done mate cracking job
Great job. Big thumbs up. I understand ur pain. I remember I did timing belt.
Top job great work I mean really great work 💯🏴
wow well done mate you deserve a break! good luck putting it back
And I thought Fred Dibnah had massive cahoona’s on him! Well done on tackling that job!
Well done m8. You might be able to lift the gearbox into place by using the ratchet strap around the engine brace. Or a long length of threaded rod through the engine brace, winding it up
Great job 👍
Great job mate 👍
Truly amazing!
another great episode
Bloody well done mate .. not an easy job at all .. great effort 👍👏
Hats off to you Sir , well done
Well done mate 👌 top job 👍
More power to you, a good video, engaging, I do my jobs like this on the drive too, You will have a nice car at the end of your journey, looks to me that you are going about this with a methodical and positive approach
Well done mate, good luck to you.
Da iawn boyo you bloody deserve a medal
fair play your doing great take your time going back in also try connecting and bleeding the clutch before you build to much and check for leaks and pedal feels good keep up the good work steady as you go
Well done bud, You did well there.
An awesome watch.. Well done.
Well done great job
Well done fella, not easy doing something like this with not all the right tools, pat on the back required as well as a pint 🍺 🍺 👍🏻👍🏻
Brilliant video, take the transfer box off for re fitting though, every day is a school day 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
proud of you pro enjoy your day
very good video great job not a easy job to do 👍😊😊
Well done b very proud of yourself 👍👍👍
Well done lad the same as an Audi TT Quattro a pig of a job plenty of swearing and tea great work 👍👨🏻🏭
Bloody big job mate
Wow! I've been looking for a video like this for ages now, very impressive. When I switched to a new Sachs clutch on my S1 here in Sweden they only charged 360£ for the work. But if I come to the point where it needs a replacement again I will probably try it myself!

Vilken verkstad var det? Det är ju minst 1 dags jobb.
Jolly good show that man well done
Well done pal good job
Well done.👍👍👍👍👍
Looks like Audis have spline nuts where vauxhall use e-torx for everything, video was perfectly made thanks
Well done mate
Well done bet you were cacking it all the way through, well done for doing it in a garage on stands . Could of been worse it could of been in winter or in Wales 😅😂
well done, respect man .. that is not an easy job, first time and one man in a tiny garage, you did well, should be easier going back as you know where things are, 😊👍
Well done, take my hat off to you!
Really Really REALLY well done - what a faff, but you kept at it, so absolutely kudos to you - you can sleep well, know that you’re not the only one that’s proud of you ! Best of luck on the refit - looking forward to seeing her rolling again soon ! Great progress on the Mikita (I remember when you got the Ryobi and was so chuffed with that, shows how you’re. Now taking on much more professional level challenges - I can see you’re in love with the Makita……stir your tea, Makita, better the bread for your cheese sandwich…..Makita, polish your shoes….Makita 😂 Keep ‘em comin’! JCHK
Well done buddy great progress it does take time and the hardest bit is probably going to be putting that gear box back in but mate you can do this just take your time 👍👍
Good on you for having ago yourself these definitely aren't an easy job 👍
Brilliant editing, job is hard enough in the first place without doing all the filming
Hi Good Job! Keep doin all!
Well done mate 👏 👏👏🍺🍺🍺
Great job. I’ve done a good few over the years. Probably the worst was a mk3 MR2 or an Abarth 500 When you put it back on get someone to rotate one of the driveshaft couplings slightly, it will make it easier to get the gearbox input shaft into the clutch plate.
