I just graduated from High school about three months ago, and bought my first car as a 93 Jeep Wrangler Yj with low mileage, no engine and exterior problems, and with a shocking low price. You are one of many people who inspired me to get this magnificent vehicle and to enjoy driving it, while understanding the feeling you have when you were trying to explain about the sensations of driving old cars. Hope for the best that you take care of Emo. -God Bless

Great video, reminded me of a documentary. My wife and I have 4 Jeeps. 2 JLUs, 1 JK and a YJ. JLU's are our daily drivers (2021 Sahara and 2024 Rubicon). We love the classic simplicity of the YJ and it is the source of all our fun little projects to make it our own. Today she is getting a new top and a deep cleaning. Our JK is a 2-door and gets towed behind our RV. It too is a fun Jeep to drive and play with.

I love my '94. I've had a bunch of great cars that I've enjoyed but none that I love like my Jeep. I did buy a CJ front clip that's sitting in my garage that I'll put on eventually, it's on the long list of improvements and upgrades. And yes, I do feel a bit disloyal about my plan but there's something about CJ round headlights, the taller grill and the flat dash that I love, too. I'm on the hunt for a second Jeep, a '95 Sahara with reasonable mileage, a 4.0l and a 5 speed which I'll keep stock.

I totally agree with you. I started my Jeep YJ journey two years ago with the purchase of a 1994 Jeep YJ for $650. Needless to say, it was in horrible condition with massive holes in the floor, completely rusted through rockers, completely worn out suspension, crumbled body mounts and too many other things to be named. But there was something about it that I felt was worth saving. With blood, sweat, tears and money, I’ve been able to get her back to her former glory. It’s been fun learning how to weld, trouble shoot and conquer all of the challenges she’s thrown at me. I wouldn’t change a thing.

aww man, this makes me emotional dude! I have a 1994 Jeep YJ 2.5 automatic as my daily driver, and Ive had her for about a year. In fact tommorow will be my jeeps 1 year anniversary of when I got her. Unfortunately with more issues going on, such as the windshild wipers and low beams not working except for high beams, I just cant afford to spend more money on maintaining her as much as I can. I had to cancel my Jurassic park build because of expenses for fixing other issues. I love my jeep, I managed to learn alot while owning her, changing the starter, fixing the horn, checking my oil, trying to fix the dimmer switch, as well as the general maintenance. Her engine powered by those four angry squirrels is still strong! but being a college student, and not being as mechnically inclined, its not easy. I was hesitant at first, but now Ive decided to agree with my dad on getting a new jeep possibly a two door JL. still the fact that I will have to sell her hurts, cause Ive had alot of great memories, met alot of great people/jeepers and she truely gave me smiles per gallons. she actually saved me on gas! I only spend 40 dollars on gas and she gives me a whole week and a half, and thats 6 days out of the 7 day week that I drive sometimes! I wished she was my secondary vehicle because maybe just maybe I would be able to keep her as a secondary project/weekender and truely learn how to work on her more. This video is really making me second guess on selling her! I love my squares! beautiful rig! and cant wait to see what you will work on in the future for Emo!

Had my 91 for about 22 years. Bought it from a guy in my Jeep Club, the original owner, as it was better setup than my '89 (plus efi vs carter carb!). This was in California, 6 months later we moved back to the UK so i sold the 89 and shipped the 91 here. It's been wheeled in the US, Mexico, England and Wales. Not many can claim that. On it's third engine as the original block cracked during shipping, the XJ engine replacement wore out it's cylinders (went oval shaped) and it's currently using a TJ engine.

But I had to remember that other than the grill and hood, the CJ guys had been swapping YJ tubs, frames, springs and the 4.0 engine for decades!! We’ve had two of them, still have a black 94 on 33’s with the 2.5 liters of angry squirrels and 4.88 gears. It’s a good reliable daily driver and reasonably fuel efficient and really turns heads!! We've owned our '93 since it was initially a lease return at a local Jeep dealership, and it's been a permanent member of our family ever since. Countless memories... and you're exactly right, it's very difficult to put into words how it feels to drive. The only words I can muster is that it "feels like home". I never imagined (back then) that it would now be considered a classic Jeep and we'd be custodians of a piece of important Jeep history. Keep up the great work with the channel.

Great episode. I started my "Jeep Life" with a '85 CJ-7 I bought new when I lived in San Diego. A couple years later Jeep introduced the YJ and I thought, What? Square headlights? I just didn't like it because of that. Since then I've owned a '98 TJ, '95 XJ and 3 Grand Cherokees. Now my "daily" is a '08 JK Sahara and guess what I've Loved the All. I also now have a respect for the YJ. That's because they're All JEEPS and in my world, that's enough for me. If I see someone in a YJ I do the "Jeep Wave" like I do for any other Jeep and I'll tell the owner, Hey, Cool Squares!! Now back home in Tennessee it come down to "It's A Jeep Thing". Thanks for reminding us of all that. As always, "Keep on Jeepin"...

I have a 2003 TJ on the verge of death that's my daily driver. The frame is rotted on the passenger side and every mechanic/body repair shop has told me it's not worth repairing - that I should get something new and let it go. This is the first video I've seen that really feels like I'm understood. This vehicle is the first thing I've ever owned, it's something that I've spent countless hours in the garage with and learned everything about. Plus I can't think of another vehicle with the support network that Jeeps have. So many forums and clubs and knowledgable people that will happily and excitedly help you along the way.
