There is no reason for these to be replaced , they were very well made and are well serviced. They are truly iconic for Sydney Harbour . Sydney has lost many things over the years , not everything that comes in new and modern is better. San Francisco kept their famous street cars , a true tourist drawcard , Queenstown in New Zealand kept their famous TSS Earnslaw steamship running , there is NO reason why the NSW state government can't keep these in service. The only thing that needs to be replaced is the closed mind of the government , they need to listen to the public who use and love these ferries. There is already a fast ferry service on the Harbour for those who wish to use it . The 30 min ride to and from Manly is probably the most relaxing and enjoyable thing anyone can do .

How about we get rid of the government and keep the ferry going

The Manly ferry is one of the things that makes Sydney worthwhile

Four ferries, no Constance or the rotten LNP assassins. Over them completely.

It is also not only a way calm relaxing way to get home if you live in Manly but it is also a Tourist incentiv e to take in the sights around the Harbour. We already have the fast ferry if you need it

This is a world class tourist attraction. These iconic Ferries are genuine classics. They are spacious and comfortable in all kinds of weather.

SO MANY of us and many many visitors enjoy our very special Manly Ferries, we MUST keep them on the “Things to Do List”.

Save the manly ferrys

I am Victorian and I come to Sydney twice a year and the main reason to ride the Manly ferry and enjoy the beautiful harbour . It is absolutely ridiculous to replace these graceful ferries with catamarans.The people of NSW own these ferries not the Government or the bean counters from Transdev .The minister says the people want faster ferry ,what I have read I have not seen one comment from anybody who wants the present ferries replaced .

Australia is rich enough to ensure these ferries are maintained and remain a part of our tourism assets

I’ve taken the ferry twice to Manly and arrived back into Sydney Harbour at night time it is truly one of the most magical things to do when staying in Sydney .Every time I visit I make sure I take time to make this journey . Please do not get rid of them they are an iconic part of Sydney and Manly life . You have an amazing ferry system it’s a great cheap fun way to get around Sydney.

This, too, is a part of my life. Growing up as a kid and to share the experience with my children. It's sad with the prospect of this iconic journey threatening to come to an end. What's worse is I have moved interstate and cannot sign the petition to help save the fleet!

Love the manly ferries all four of them when i visit sydney for around 8 weeks every couple of years from england they must be kept

Loved Riding the Manly ferries when i was in Sydney, keep 'em running cause there is no better way to Manly. Lets hope i get to ride them again when the Corona pandemic is over.

As of now some progress has been made. Freshwater, Narrabeen and Collaroy have been announced that they will be retained. Hopefully the final one will be saved.

Narrabeen is gone, and will most likely be cut up for parts. Collaroy might be retired because they are using an incident that happened over 20 years ago as an excuse to retire her. Freshwater is fine for now, Queenscliff might come back. They don't know what they are doing. I'm just so happy there are other people who love and care for these ferries #savethemanlyferries

say goodbye to an incredibly reliable service.get ready for inferior chinese made ferries that will breakdown and will not cope with the big swells.similar to the debacle with the italian hydrofoils in the 70s.rubbish.

Call the Manly emerald class ferries stupit
