Alan Howard was severely underused in the trilogy. It’s really my only complaint. Sauron should’ve had some moments. It was pretty cool seeing him as a necromancer

It does not matter that in some episodes it is impossible to understand what is being said. The very voice of Sauron is mysterious and majestic. So it would be great to hear all the moments from the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Sauron's voice was evil personified in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The embodiment of corruption and perversion. I so wish they'd kept it like this in The Hobbit. They had the framework for so much greatness but diverged so heavily from the foundation.

exactly. it disappoints me that everyone has jumped on that bandwagon because they have a crush on cumberbatch (and i do mean EVERYONE: the fan-artists make art where Sauron looks like him, the video game modders use his likeness for Sauron in their mods, and everyone is pulling all the mental gymnastics to say that Sauron - when he was in hiding as the Necromancer in Dol Guldur - would sound like cumberbatch because he's trying to "seduce" people ???)
