After winning the World Cup, Messi has not yet been ready to leave the Saudi fans' minds. Even though Messi is playing for PSG, they already had a Messi jersey with the Saudi Club after Ronaldo joined the Al Nassar Club.
Now Saudi fans have found Lionel Messi everywhere, even when Messi is not playing in Saudi.
Now they are mocking Ronaldo with the name Messi. Ronaldo was a peripheral figure in Al Nassr's defeat, and footage has emerged of the Al Ittihad fans chanting, "Messi, Messi, Messi."
Ronaldo endured a frustrating evening, failing to open his account for Al Nassr as his side crashed out of the Saudi Super Cup.
Ronaldo has managed just one shot on target across both appearances for Al-Nassr.
And now, the Portuguese star, who has been treated like royalty since making his sensational move to the Middle East, has to contend with chants about his rival.
It comes after Ronaldo faced off against Messi for possibly the final time in a friendly match between a Saudi all-star side, which the Portuguese forward captained, and Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month. The French giants managed to claim a 5-4 win at the end of a thrilling encounter, with Messi finding the back of the net in the opening few minutes before Ronaldo chipped in with a brace.
Despite scoring twice for a Saudi All-Star XI in a friendly against Lionel Messi's PSG, Ronaldo is yet to make his mark for his new club, Al Nassr.

Imagine if Messi played only 16 minutes in the WC final and was replaced by another player who scored in the nick of time and won the WC trophy, Ronaldo fans might say Messi didn't deserve to be WC winner.
