My upper arms have grown about 8cm over time. I still look like I've never been to the gym lol. I've put so much work in, learned about how to train smarter, doubted myself a lot. Honestly, I started to get demotivated. I just switched to other sports. Now doing crossfit (yes I know lol), but turns out I'm good at the technical and cardio part and all of a sudden I'm near the top of the group instead of at the bottom. However my physique is kind of underwhelming. I have now achieved the strength feats that an old friend of mine reached after 2 years of training (130 kg Bench) and still look worse than him at the time. But it is what it is. I am still proud of what I achieved with these genetics and I beat my old self every single year.

    I am the same height, started training at 15. What is your weight? If you are under 110kg you got some weightgaining to do.. I at 110kg still look kinda slim, although a bit muscular, at 12%. This is also after 10 years of training. I found that most kf the issues of not reaching the golas strength/physique wise is due to not eating enough/being afraid of some fat gain. There is no other way around it, gotta gain, and soften up a little, if you wanna progress.

    That's great! At 6'6 it could just be extremely hard to look jacked. That and 130kg bench at that height is much harder because of your wingspan. Have you tried consulting a trainer, or working out with a mirror/camera? Your genetics might actually be fine, but your form or speed when doing reps could be slightly off, especially at that height.

    Keep in mind low testosterone is on the rise among the younger generations today for various reasons, some related to lifestyle, some related to physical abnormalities, so getting checked and talking to an endocronologist is a good idea. Though some people may have low testosterone production naturally despite doing everything right in terms of lifestyle as well as being physically normal and not have symptoms - that's one aspect of genetics. This guy's problem is very common. His genetics aren't bad, he would simply look much better if he dropped to around 15% bodyfat while continuing what he's doing in the gym. There is a middle ground between where he started in 2016 and where he is today. The problem with beginners in the gym is that they are told by everyone that they need to bulk up to get shredded. The result is they look like they have the muscles, but they can't shake that last bit of body fat on their belly and elsewhere. This guy's issue is that he has a gut, his body fat is too high, and clearly doesn't do much cardio.

  • @GbawlZ

    @GbawlZ

    14 күн бұрын

    @@Anon-qp3kt I don't agreee with you that he's lean, he has a gut and is skinny fat with the muscular gains of someone who works out here and there. I have been in his position before and can tell you from experience, he needs to keep (or start) working out consistently and make cardio a daily thing. Nobody said he should go down to single digit bodyfat, since he's slightly above 20% right now. I'm saying that if he wants to look shredded, he should be aiming for at least 15%, period. I guess I'm just confused where you're coming from. Are you under the impression he has a lower bodyfat percentage than he does, or are you suggesting he should eat MORE? When you say that 'body dysmoprhia' is clouding my judgment, I have to laugh because if this guy's goal is to have a normal and 'healthy' weight, he should just keep doing what he's doing because he looks fine. If, however, he wants to maximize the appearance of his physique the way a bodybuilder would, then I would recommend he aim for 15% while consistently hitting the gym and cardio resulting in a caloric deficit.

I am sure he could improve on a program of compounds building up to a 1 rep max each day. That is how i built mine. How do you suggest people attach their pictures to their comments? How do you suggest they are factchecked to actually be the person they are posting to be. Who decides that they are then man enough? So many problems with your suggestion.

    he is in terrible shape for someone living a bodybuilding lifestyle for 8 years. deal with it. i have no idea why greg is making a video abou this guy tbh and no, i don't want to shame the guy.

    i even have term for this: it`s called ``delusion of internet`` which means on internet 9 out of 10 people WILL exxaggarate their thing by 10 times ... Video game example: read comment section for league of legends, 9 out of 10 people will claim that they are diamonds education example: almost everyone on youtube will claim that they have at least college degree and almost none of the people will say that they have regular jobs xD etc... fitness is not an exception to this rule lol which means that 9 out of 10 guys claiming or implying to have better body then this guy probably does not. xD
