What has helped you?

I have saturn conjunct my midheaven in cancer, mars is there too. I grew up with a mentally disturbed, abusive mom (aries mom) There was and still is alot of hurt. Now, in my 40s, i have a very successful home cleaning business. I feel envy when I see how other moms are with their daughters and wonder why I couldn't have that. I used to tell her when something would hurt me and she would just wave her hand in the air and say "oh, get over it." It has made me a very sensitive, defensive, intuitive, and compassionate. Jupiter in Pisces helps... moving away from her and earning a living for myself was a lifechanger so I dont need to be under her foot. When I meet a person who displays any indication of being like her I RUN! It's funny that the ruler of saturn (capricorn husband) has helped me so much.

This placement is difficult but at least we can see what the trouble is. We all have our own ideas but another KZread astrologer said that Saturn in Sagittarius is perhaps the nicest one (philosophical/objective) and this one stings the most. Why? The inner child was wounded in some way. It is said that many of the 1946 group were abandoned or orphans. At its best, the sensitivity can be put to good use like being a caregiver. It can bring harshness into that soft moon territory. Like being injured and feeling nobody cares. So, if possible the goal is to learn to nurture yourself. Be a friend to yourself.

Having a bad parents is not bad at all, you could say it's like a gift too ... sometimes it's teaches you how to be a grateful person.

Agreed karma is up to the universe.

As a “detriment” placement, do people consider this one more troublesome than say Saturn in Libra, Capricorn or Aquarius ?

@@Cocoacats1 you are welcome, yeah I find the rulerships/ exalted/ detriment/ fall planets are very significant and although you can overcome the challenges in those detriment or fall planets, it is more difficult for sure.
