Just doing my part to keep these classics around :) Conan aired in 1993.

So thats how reganomics tricked me with morals using cartoons as a kid. The commercials are just as awesome. Makes me want to dig up old dusty vhs tapes and see what tv cartoons I recorded as a a kid. Maybe covert and post oneday.

There's a video here on YT that tells the sad story. Basically in the 90's, parents and companies started wanting to have more educational television for kids, so they slowly started phasing out Saturday morning cartoons and replaced in with "real life" type educational shows. That's when Cartoon Network and the like started taking over. So by the later 90's and early 2000's, it was a wrap for our cartoons.

From Blackstar the one & only time the PowerStar is viewed. The power both swords have. Each one has the potential to destroy their planet.

Who else here is a "Gen X'er"? Uh...I am. ('low class of '85 😁) Good times, man. Gooood times! Remember those 2 & half hours of the "Bugs Bunny/Road Runner hour"? Remember that scientist and "Gossamer" (Rudolph) the orange monster in tennis shoes?...and, that bottle of ether? "Coooooome back here, liiiiiittle buuuunny raaaaaabbit....nighty niiiiiiiight." Priceless!! Yes even used that to open their show for the 83 "Drama" tour...if I remember right. They just don't make em like that anymore cuz they're not "politically correct". They TRY but they just can't recapture that quality. It's due to said "political correctness" or, lack thereof and artist's "hands are tied". Artists are no longer permitted to just...draw. No, it's gotta be "submitted for approval" - to CEOs like Kathleen Kennedy! Yeah, THAT'S the new "family friendly" Disney for ya! I'm not even gonna open up THAT canna worms right now. That's a whole commentary unto itself. A great collection and it REALLY takes ya back, doesn't it? I live this channel cuz you guys think like I do and, obviously I'm in good company!
