Such an accomplishment Louise! Woo Hoo! So happy for you and proud of you! You certainly deserve some time off after all the hard work the last four years! I don't remember her on the piano, I thought I remember you would have a video while she was at dance!?!?!? I remember the videos close to recitals and you sharing about getting ready for the them over the years. Nothing but rain for our next week. It's been a rainy weekend here to start it all off. Those petunias are gorgeous, I saw them on IG! Very pretty, and a nice pop of red to along with all the other colors you will have in the yard. Keep being Fabulous!

🎉Congratulations to the new graduate, Louise! Onward and upward! We had a break in the rain today so I planted some deep purple petunias in my window boxes. Also planted some basil, sweet mint, and lemon balm in containers. Felt great to work outside! Our weather pattern is calling for more rain this week, too. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and that delicious meatloaf! ❤

For my daughter when she graduated from UCONN, we travelled 2 for a couple of hours from NYC to Connecticut and hers was I think at noon and that year her graduation fell on Mothers Day and her father’s birthday May 11, 2011 we will always remember that 😊. Thanks for the Petunia tip. Last year mine were scraggly. I just bought a hanging basket of them from an Amish store today for $15.00, I couldn’t resist. Congratulations to the Grad! 🎓 I’m working on my flower beds around the house, we have blocks trimming them and they sink into the ground so I have to pull them up & put dirt underneath them. UGH, it is exhausting! Almost done though!

Congratulations to Louise! What an accomplishment! And now for some rain on your parade. May 4th is the 54th anniversary of the Kent State shooting on campus. This is why I (on occasion) wear a tin-foil hat. I was a student then, and my sorority sister, Sandy, was a victim. The news has it all wrong, as well as Wikipedia. Outside influences were present on campus several weeks before the event. She was just walking to class and the National Guard had live ammo because of the Cleveland truckers strike during this time. There were snipers in Cleveland, and my finance was called up to Cleveland to guard the bridges, etc. He was not on campus, but was deployed later to the campus in the aftermath. Sad, but clear memories of the actual events. My poor parents were frantic to rescue me from my dorm as the campus was cleared after the event. They were finally able to convince the barricade guards that they were just picking me up to drive me home....and my parents had planned a May 4th wedding anniversary dinner that evening. They were married during WW2 in 1943. So, that's what is on my mind, today and every year on May 4th....sigh.....
