It is not exactly "pure male fellowship," the symbolism is more complicated. This is a wedding ritual. The bride is holding onto the other side of the sash (although she is not pictured in this video); the male members of both her family and the groom's family join together before her, dancing while holding the sash from the other end. The dance represents the melding of two families and lineages into one around the center-point of the bride, anticipating the joyous arrival of a new generation. Claravieck if I’m not mistaken, the Hasidic Jews originally came from Eastern Europe’s (countries like Poland), and they are very set in their ways which is visible in the clothing they wear, as it is the traditional clothing their forefathers wore. They also wear a kippa under the hat.
