You can tell that the painter in the 1st video is a pro just by how he is tapping the brush on the side of the bucket. He's been doing that for a very long time. His hands are so steady that takes at least a couple of years to know how to load a brush properly. The hands being as steady as they were isn't something you can teach you either have it or you don't!!!!

As a painter of 30 years I can fully respect those cut in skills. I took third place at the Sherwin Williams local, “Pro Show” competition here in Southern Oregon. It takes years of practice to get that skilled. Hopefully you’re working behind a great drywall person too.

These guys have a level of confidence I don't have in walking.
I've enjoyed these videos for quite a while now. But I'm noticing that more and more of them don't stay running long enough to see what it's turning into, or what the point of the action was. Like at 1:59, I didn't see the point (or the skill) in drilling so many bore holes then tapping them out.

I agree. There were several like that for me. What was the deal, for example, with the plasticky looking “flag of Morocco” being pulled out of what seemed to be a paint can?? No clue.

13:57 this man is dressing the bundles of cable without a cable comb. He essentially uses talcom powder (baby powder) to dry lube the cables to make it easier to comb straight. Source: low voltage tradesman here.
As someone who has worked in cable management for years, its nice to see beautiful cable runs, however sadly now with CAT6+ and beyond, its actually preferred to not bundle this way as it can contribute to NEXT, that doesn't mean it can't look good, just not this good.

In painting that's called cutting in, easy peasy to do, you also don't paint from the bottom up but from the top down, that way you are not working over wet paint.

Is laser welding actually strong?
@mage3690
Just as strong as anything else if you do it right, I reckon. The key to doing anything well is doing it right. But just like laser cutting doesn't like to go through very thick metal, I reckon laser welding would work the same way.
Who is the voice of these videos? I have always wondered.

So glad to see so many women taking on jobs that are normally done by men
Where is the fiber optic wire from the thumbnail!!!?
I am a trade qualified Painter and the one in this video would never make it if he was this slow doing his job, it shouldn't take more than about three minutes to cut in half way down the walls as well as to the ceiling in a normal sized room, the person doing the cutting in to the lower walls and skirting also rolls the walls and keeps up with the person cutting into the ceiling. Sad to see such slow workers these days let alone the quality of workmanship has dropped so far that none of them could pass the quality test we used to have back in the day for Commision homes or all Government work
That one guy missed a spot...
Amazing painters, gardeners and other skill workers. At 16:54 a giant auger is turning and workers are standing wearing ordinary shoes, no steel toed safety boots. Even more appalling is at 16:57 with this worker wearing rubber sandals, he shouldn't be standing that close at all.
I love and hate cutting in, never used tape I'm just a diy'er. A good natural bristle brush, new paint & damp rag make a big difference.
Speeding up the vids on display doesn't alow me to truly appreciate the work. . . . . After watching further I see its not work speed so much as work quality
can you just one of these videos but without talking :)

What's really funny to me is that some of these 'perfect jobs' are skills developed because of time saving... also called 'laziness' in most cases. The first one with the painter is the perfect example of it... only reason to teach yourself to be able to paint that precise is saving time or downright not wanting to spend the time taping off those edges. Could also be called 'work smarter, not harder'... LOL
@ThumperG
Your comment is so contradictory it’s hilarious. If he learned how to paint precise lines, then that means he gets the job done faster because he can paint the edges without having to take the time and money to tape everything. So he still gets the job done, while using less materials, and it’s faster. Which means he is working smarter and not harder lol. Since when is being more efficient at your job considered “lazy” lol 😂
Add some music for the background. I am sick of that melody. Have to watch with sounds off.
14:15 Car body builder from CZ: In Europe (everywhere i guess), those can be also sometimes a new original skeletons or it's parts. And having it just surface corroded is fine. All you have to do is to grind it all somehow. But he does it that way, so i wonder how will he make sure to make it dry in time now because it's just a raw metal. I don't know what will this "specialist" do after it got all wet, but i guess he has another idea. I personally have none, but there could be something. The water could be either destilated to make sure it's not an electrolite or he put some kind of magic coat onto it. Maybe he put some zink layer on it later, but that makes the risk of the underneath corrosion and maybe a bubbles anyways. If there's any fellow general mechanic and you know what is he doing, please tell me. I'm curious a lot.
That builder who's using that wire thing to str8 a wall out is a cowboy rather than trowel the wall just scrap it off look the wastage on the floor . You cant use that again if there any small stones or crap on the floor all mixed in dam lazy work there .
