Haha he’s a good boy but wasn’t perfect, you can see a few dodgy moments ;) He’ll get better and better with time

Just a quick suggestion! You said he doesn’t like his Maine being pulled and my horse doesn’t either so I use a solo comb which does the same thing in an easier and pain free way for the horse! Just thought I would share this in case you were after another route 😊xx

Would love to see Video of yourtraining plan for him to bring him back into work and progression videos of how you bring him along... how much time do you have befor his forst show? I use your training timelines as a guide for my own horses and they are always spot on!

If you were looking for a way to thin khals make without pulling it you should try a mane thinner it would make your job a bit easier, I find them very helpful

I think I'd do that too if I had a horse. And then pull it to tidy it up and make it look more natural like holly did. Pulling the whole mane hurts the hands yo 😂😂 it hurts

If you listen to the video, you’ll know I cut it before pulling it because it was so long..

when you cut their tail between their legs, is that mean when youre riding and they carry their tail a bit higher its even? i usually just hold my arm under to get the right angle but can be a bit hit or miss lol

I only cut it between his legs because that was the way he was standing and I didn’t want to move him and the camera 😂 I usually just ballpark it!

Equine Sami alot of showjumpers would clip or cut their horses feathers to make them look “professional” as she said she was trying to make him look like. It’s just my opinion i cut my horses feathers as I showjump them and i think it looks better but do whatever you want 🤷‍♀️

When I was a kid the story was that feathers are a natural way to help water run off the lower leg in wet countries (like Ireland!) and cutting them might lead to problems... DK whether this is true or just one of these traditional myths you were taught as a kid

Yea, guess I am. You should not have that much pelvic rotation just from the pressure of the hose/scraper. This is commonly due to tightening and tension in the fascia which is associated with muscle soreness.

Why don’t you cut his fetlock hair?

I hated the awful electronic music. It would have been so relaxing to just hear the natural sounds of washing, horse whinnys, raven cawing, etc. I feel my ears got abused. Huge turnoff, huge. Lovely horse, very sweet tempered. Great grooming - loved it, except for that horrible music and having to turn sound on and off. Music is bad anytime there is a human voice as well. I came here to see and hear a horse. Not your choice of music pushed on me.
