5 QUICK tips from a 1570 scorer: 1: FOOD FOOD FOOD. eat a nutritious and sizable dinner the night before, as well as for breakfast the day of. 2: BRING SNACKS. the last thing you want during your SAT is to be hungry. I ate 2 bags of cheezits and 3 packs of fruit snacks over the course of the test (in the breaks). 3: on the math section, do the FREE RESPONSE FIRST. I started with the questions at the end that arent multiple choice, as they take longer. get them out of the way faster: if you run out of time, it is SO MUCH EASIER to guess on multiple choice than free response. 4: If you are a coffee enjoyer, then start your morning with just slightly more coffee than normal. if you don’t drink coffee, make a cup of black tea. This slight increase will keep you alert but not make you jittery or anxious. 5: GET GOOD SLEEP. By far the most important step. You want a well rested mind to crank out those questions, not a cranky one off 4 hours of sleep. GET YOUR 8 HOURS. 100% certifiable straight 🔥 advice 🗣️🗣️

Recap: Scoring: Don't cheat yourself. If you get 1 math problem wrong, take off 10 points. Cheating yourself only hurts you in the future. Closing the gap: Get 800 on math before moving to english. Mark up your textbooklet by underlining what the problem is asking you to solve. Use your pencil to keep your mind engaged on the words . Underline the key moments to passage. Boost reading scores: Best test-taking technique: Double check once you're done. Do more than enough practice exams and know how to pace yourself. Math: make sure you check your problems again. Do the short answer, then double check the mcq's. Read: slow down when you notice you have extra time. It's harder to double check on the readingb ecause you have to read the passage again. psychoogical tricks: take a final test a week before the exam and mimick what you would on exam day. Wake up when you woulld normally wake up and go for the exam at 8am.

Im 40 and watching videos for my daughter to help with SATs I wish we had youtube back then and SAT prep help like this. You kids can help the next generation of kids get out of poverty. Realize that many impoverished kids don't even have an awareness about testing. Sharing knowledge with each other is what we are missing and thinking differently. That is diversity of thought ❤. Hopefully the next generation can push this world forward.....

@@abdullahnizar6784 which isn’t a reason to consider it a failure, so what r u sayin 🤷🏾. That score would look good to people in the 10th grade who actually struggled to get there and last time I checked this video’s purpose was to help people but all I see is a prodigy who expects all of his viewers to be at his score range by their first standardized test. This guy got a 1200 in his sophomore year which is pretty much everyone’s first SAT. After that you have three years to get better. That is in no way, shape, or form of failure. If you want to toot your own horn saying “UgH I oNLy ScoReD a 1400 iM A mOrOn” then go ahead, but you’re only making yourself look like a douche bag especially when you’re video is supposedly trying to help people who haven’t been prepping since the second grade like this dude did most likely. So please I need more specifics on how a 1200 as a failure🧐🧐🧐. The definition above average literally is the opposite of failure if you didn’t know. But still,I need you to PLEASE explain to me how that score is a failure. I would really love to know.

I want to clarify something important: everyone has their own way of doing things. Watching videos on SAT tips and tricks doesn't help you sometimes. Most tips and tricks videos tell you their way of studying and doing the questions. They could be like "passage first, then questions" or "look at the questions first, then read the passage" and "the answer is obviously D for this question, look at the passage it mentions it" and think that they helped you. You might feel more confident after watching one of these videos, but in truth these videos do not help you at all if you just started studying for the SAT. The people making these tips and tricks videos already have a advanced mindset by learning from their own experience. For example, as I mentioned earlier, one of the people in the tips and tricks could be like "the answer is obviously D for this question, look at the passage it mentions it" which would seem really easy, but in truth, it's not easy at all. If you had just started studying for the SAT you wouldn't be able to identify and analyze the passage like the person in this video, which is a huge problem: the questions that you think are extremely hard are just basic questions to the "tips and tricks" people and they will think that you already know how to analyze so they will give you some tips like "look at the passage the author says blah blah blah and it is related to the answer choice D so the answer is D for this question" which would make the beginners think they understand but actually makes no sense for them. If you still don't understand what i'm saying, here is how a tips and tricks person would react to a question: Question: The author mentions "sharpener shavings" (line 10) in order to portray a mood of A: unrestrained joy B: sentimental reminiscence C: bitter disappointment D: cautious optimism Tips and tricks person: C because you can obviously make a inference in what mood the author is trying to portray Average beginner studying for the SAT: ohhhh i get it now (but actually it doesnt help him/her at all

Hey P, love the vid these tips are damn gold, I just wanted to ask about your opinion on music. Might be a little random, but for me the music I listen to does affect my studying habits and motivation to do things, and judging by your Kendrick video we have the same taste. I tend to see my academic values and performance start to slip and my motivation begins to become lackluster. I would give this type of music, with negative messages up, but I don’t know, it gives me energy to do things like work out, so I just wanted to get your opinion on it. I've watched your other videos on the SAT and a question came up: how much should I study? I am currently at a high-ish 1200s. I got the books you recommended in all your other vids, haven't started them yet though. I am going into my junior year and anticipate it's going to be tough so I want to finish the SAT early on. Should I take the August 26 or October 7? Do you think I can get that Ivy score by August or October? Or even maybe November 4 or December 2?

hey my advice would be to continue you SAT prep. dont keeo taking practice tests rather spend more time studying, polishing strong concepts and getting a grip on weaker topics. Focus on covering content and learning/understanding for atleast 2-4 weeks or until you feel like you know most stuff. then take a practice test and see how you have improved. Again focus on your mistakes and repeat this process atleast twice. If you start getting scores within your dream score range than schedule the test whenever you feel ready. My guess would be that you should go for either October or November/December since most people have winter break and stuff. Best of luck ❤

This strategy can’t be applied during reading section of digital sat You have 20 minutes and you have 1 question per passage so you better choose the best strategy for yourself

@@saadatalimithani1336 Actually that's the method that's been working for me in my preparation. The annotating tool on blue book works really well, and you can just select a few words here and there to help you focus. Best wishes y'all!

I gotch you! Do some exercises such as stretching, push ups or jumping jacks. It will enhance your mental health and you will sleep better Test day: don't forget to drink water. Staying hydrated will help your brain to work better. Bring snacks that for the test day. After waking up and getting ready for test, review some questions you have done before. This will help your brain to wake up in the morning. Good luck!
