Sasquatch Chronicles | Season 1 | Episode 15 | They Took My Flesh

Ойын-сауық

*Please note: This episode has previously aired on the Sasquatch Chronicles podcast as Episode 727, and is being featured with express permission.
For more information on the show and additional episodes visit us at our Website (bit.ly/WebsiteSurvivorman) or on KZread (bit.ly/YTSurvivorman)
On this episode, we are joined by Tony Merkel from The Confessionals podcast, who will be our Sasquatch Chronicles guest host while Wes hosts an episode of The Confessionals for Tony as part of this special swapcast!
Tony brings guest Michael to the show, who shares with us all about a life riddled with unusual experiences pointing to him possibly be an alien abductee starting at the age of three. Michael was visited by entities at that time, and later came to understand that they were Grey extraterrestrials. He lays out a series of events which followed as he grew older that sometimes left him feeling so terrified he was afraid to go to sleep at night. The feeling of ice cold hands grabbing him eventually became a tell that alerted him he was being attacked. Once while he was sleeping he found himself in a type of sleep paralysis state from which he could not awaken, and all the while he felt like something was peeling the skin off of his feet. When he finally came out of it, he discovered he really was missing chunks of skin!
Michael also describes another instance when he felt the ice cold hands grabbing his ankles and pulling him off his bed, only to drag him down the hall. What happened as he was being dragged is hard for him to describe or understand because it seemed like he was being taken into a whole other realm.
Michael shares as many bits and pieces of these abduction events as he can remember on this week’s swapcast episode, ""They Took My Flesh.""

He mentioned that he's a Christian, great! But in any circumstances, I believe in prayer. Cause I was on my death bed, a year ago this month of August. I have always believed in prayer, but not as much as I do now! I had 2 churches, family and friends praying for me. I know that nothing else got me out of that death bed, other than the prayers heard. I'm glad for this young man, that he got home to his loved ones.

Listening to this kid breaks my heart you can still hear the fear. My sons are currently 19 and 21. I'm so sorry that nobody believed him. The state he was in speaks to the reality of his experience. I could not imagine not believing my boys in a state of trauma like that. PTSD is not just a diagnosis reserved for combat veterans. I'm currently working on a degree in therapy with the intention to focus on PTSD and trauma. I would happily talk to him about ways to cope. My husband is a veteran and has PTSD. I've spent a lot of time and energy researching and developing methods to help my husband.

Man...poor guy..that final run out of the trail with you half naked, caked with mud and all was horrific and my heart really goes out to You. I was born and raised in Florida and that trail is no joke. That area is rough country and I've gotten lost near there while airboating with a buddy..wholey crap man that was one of the scariest times I can remember especially at night time with a broken down boat.. God bless ya man and what trips me out is how these creatures seem to drain batteries no matter the environment.

I went to Alligator ally in September and did a little hike with my brother on one of the rest stops right in the middle. He was very creeped out the whole time we were out there and no one else was around for sure you could just tell nobody walked through the trail there. I thought it was very cool the whole time but I could tell he was freaking out since we went in with nothing but a backpack with water and no weapons. I will have to say when I was walking the trail I thought to myself "Wow this is perfect area for a sasquatch." We didn't see anything or hear anything but we weren't looking necessarily either. But yes it is such a vast area and there is so much out there that no one knows about.

His story was also not scary at all. The creatures just seem to watch him and nothing provoking. He also never mentioned anything about mosquitoes. Florida is mosquito heaven. I’m sorry that happened to you! Another angle to look at is they saved your life. You encountered an intelligent group and you’re very lucky. They’re like people. You can’t say that they’re all kind or all violent because you don’t know. But from what it sounds like they herded you out and they knew you were terrified and they wanted you to stay terrified so you didn’t come back. There are many groups in Florida that are more beastly and would’ve taken you. This group may have known you were entering a dangerous territory for humans. And they also knew you had a gun and you did not shoot them, you were only willing to shoot your self so you didn’t suffer. Your heart is in the right spot. If it was not then maybe things would have gone a lot differently. It was a family you encountered that let you see their young . I’m sorry nobody believed you. It’s just a lack of knowledge at this point because there is proof of these beings. I don’t like to comment much but your ptsd kinda egged me on because I think this different perspective will help you get rid of the fear. Imagine you see a little adorable duckling waddling into a croc infested pond wouldn’t you kinda interfere if you could and scare it away from there? I would ✌️😉

I live in Florida. I'm way north of the Everglades but near both the Green Swamp and the Ocala National Forest. When I used to live in South Florida I'd go out canoeing into the Glades and now boat camping on the St. John's and Ocklawaha Rivers. There is a primordial feel to the Florida wilds even today. I've not seen any Bigfoot type creatures when I've been out but I can definitely imagine such creatures out in those woods, marshes, swamps and waters in this state. I think Joseph had a real encounter.

I live in Ocala and take hikes through the Ocala national forest. One time I was walking and went down this game trail nobody had been down in years I'm sure. 30 minutes down this trail I start seeing a bunch of coyote dropping all over the place, like a huge pack was in the area. Well right in the middle of the trail was a stack of rocks in the shape of a pyramid about a foot or so high. The weird part was these rocks look like they came out of a river and were smooth looking and I haven't seen any rocks on this trail at all. I instantly got that feeling of being watched, so I pulled my handgun and got out of there. The woods were silent too.

This is the scariest thing I can imagine, swamps are terrifying to begin with. It takes a rare kind of bravery in one’s spirit to venture into a swamp alone. They have a clear, distinguishable border, and when you’re out in nature by yourself looking at it and contemplating going in, it’s almost like you have to mentally align yourself with a notion that you are entering into an alternate reality, one in which you know well and good…is full of nefarious intentions.

This trail is a public trail right off a major highway. It looks like it has a Ranger Station at one end and a hugh truck stop & rest area at the other end. It is exactly 30 miles and takes approximately 9-10 hours of actual hiking. So... with 8 hours sleep, 2 days. There are multiple camp spots along the way. Its a major hiking trail... maintained by the state. With that being said, The Florida Trail has been hiked by many many many people. These things probably see people very often and if they meant them harm, people would be killed and disappear all the time. Especially with all the dumb tourists in Florida. They are curious and they want you to leave. They could have killed you in your hammock. They could have done anything they want.

All good wood ape people should be baptized in the Holy Wood Ape Spirit. Thanks

I`ve been in those woods before but not this particular area ever on foot.
