This was the first CD of the genre I purchased. A day after attending a small rave, I went to a little hole in the wall record store. The clerk said, "This is new, you should try it out." If I had a time machine I would go back and shake that guys hand. What a blessing! Much love to all those who see this comment. May the journey never end.

Seamless blending. Hands-down, the best in the business.
Something very special was happening back in those days. Space ibiza with the like of this man right here. The energy was absolutely piping hot. Sasha and Steve Lawler rocking the Terrace. The stars aligned then and things clicked into place nicely for the scene back then. Phenomenal. Thanks for the memories Sasha diggers lawler etc. ❤

One of the "grails", Sasha has so much more than just this. Epic mix though, bought it first when it came out, good times o/
It was a rainy night & I remember buying this CD at Tower Records when it was released. I opened it up, got in my car and drove home passed my house and just kept going. Got back on the Freeway and must’ve drove @ 25 miles no traffic in the middle of the night with a light drizzle rain. Drove back home again only to pass up my house once more. Driving in the rain listening to Sasha for the first time got me hooked forever! Finally got home at the crack of dawn. I went to bed saying to myself “wow there is another life “. I gots to thank GOD for the music . 🎶🙏🏻🎵. It really changed my life completely. I’m taking this w/me when I leave.

@@coastalcruise1345 it had a different vibe back then. Some of the newer tracks are okay.. I prefer the feel of the older stuff. Im 40 and have been listening to house and techno since i was a freshman in HS, so perhaps thats why I favor the older era of the music. Ive heard plenty of shit these days called prog houe when its clearly minimal. The lines have been blurred a bit. To me progressive is a different sound. An twist on the basic formula.

This era was unmatched. Tiesto, Guetta etc. have no clue. I was very fortunate to be in this space all the way back to late 80s. Been to hundreds of live events over the years. KLF, Moby, FSOL, Lords of Acid etc. In terms of DJs, I caught the Sasha/Digweed show way back early 2000s and it was insane. Time truly has no mercy n how fast it passes us by.

The Set that changed my life. The mix between track 2 and 3 changed my entire outlook on life
This mix is otherworldly. I lose track of time and detach from my duty to observe reality when I hear it. Everytime. A masterpiece preserved by time in a space that cannot be lost or forgotten.
This time period in life lives on forever... I wake up to this music every day, its as if i were still right there. The music never fades, it rises with the sun.
From 47mins to the end is literally the most magical musical moment of my entire life. The whole CD is incredible to the point of absurd but that collection of music from 47 until the final track is the most seamless ethereal and life changing sequence ever. It inspired me and continues to do so to this day. That mix from Stage One into Sacred is probably my favourite track to track mix in history.
Sometimes I feel like music like this represents a time and space and dimension that doesn't exist.........

One of the best
Timeless. The greats never get old!
The transition from my lexicon to nothing left and then onto move... still fills this empty vessel of myself, with emotion and feeling! For a brief few moments after, the numbness begins to subside...
Sasha’s Ibiza was like being at a beach party, forest party, dreamland party all in one...we traveled towards his music and reveled in it for the MOST GLORIOUS MOMENTS HIS HAD TO OFFER!! Indeed.
I know everybody bangs on about modern dj's, but this is THE gold standard for dj'ing. No dj will ever be this good.

Sasha is famous for his ‘in key’ mixing. I could be wrong. He picked up this technique from an early Hacienda resident Jon daSilva. It must have been a labourious process back then finding the key of the record. Goin up through the chromatic scale of the keyboard matching the key. Further confusion coming from ‘is it A minor or A major?’

Together we remember!
Prolly the greatest mix ever!! to come out of Ibiza Spain raves on dat island- in the past- 20th century!! Masterpiece vinyl mix!...no one matches it!... NO ONE!!! I still listen to it in amazment almost as a voyage!
probably the 45th million time I listen to this. usually when I work after dinner time. interesting how I've never got tired of Raff & Freddy. Same as the sunset in Ibiza or Sardegna. It's always going to be that happy place :-)
You just can't put into words its just sasha !👀👀
Oh the memories. The "I'll rub your back then you can rub mine" days.
I had this on disc 20 yrs ago and will never get old,it was a privilege to enjoy this one off, never repeated masterpiece of the late 90's..lets keep the buzz alive
From 25m onwards it's just heavily trance I dont think it's gets anymore uplifting than that mix. Genius
Still got this CD - bought it in 1999 and it's one of the best I ever bought. Medway 19:30 mins in. BOOOSH!
In many ways the greatest 2 cds eva, an absolute journey, the true essence of progressive trance
Entire Global Underground series is on Mixcloud via Global Underground
early 90s best years ever for Global underground and Trance ,This Dj is one of the.best there will ever be❤👌
Tracks 3 to 6, seamless integration beyond the heavens, timeless.
the essential summer mix, still brilliant and sunny and vibrant and all things great after 18 (!) years
Damn this takes me back. I absolutely love that transition from Feel High into Real Time. So smooth. And then how he builds the 3 tracks into the legendary Stage One. Timeless classic

Best DJ in the world end of! His track selection and mixing are second to none. This mix and his global underground San Francisco are truly amazing!
The buildup to 29:48 and the pure catharsis that follows is a tearjerker.
This is still my favorite mix of all time. This is art. So perfectly mixed.
