Two house and techno trailblazers go toe-to-toe at IMS Ibiza to celebrate 40 years of Mixmag.
The Lab Ibiza is powered by Pioneer Pro Audio.
To celebrate 40 years of Mixmag, we’re bringing two of house and techno’s finest to the White Isle where they’ll go back-to-back during this year’s International Music Summit (IMS). Hailing from Brazil, ANNA goes up alongside Welsh-born Sasha for a 90-minute takeover at Destino Pacha Resort, the home of IMS 2023.
ANNA’s ferocious warehouse sets pay testament to techno's early innovations, and have seen her perform alongside some of the world’s biggest artists in her 15+ years on the scene. She’ll go toe-to-toe with Sasha this Friday, who first earned his stripes in the early ‘90s with his own unique brand of progressive house. The pair will link up for a special poolside set under the Ibizan sun this week - and this one’s unmissable.

Playing an hour set on your own is an hour too short in my opinion, this really did need to be a two hour set minimum
Sasha was always there for me in my partying days. Now he's here for me in my sober days, especially at the gym!

Oh man, my brother from another mother. Now that I'm in my late 40's my partying days are over, but Sasha and Cattaneo get me through my daily workouts with a smile on my face.
When you watch Sasha it's like watching Lionel Messi. A Generation's genius. 30 years plus of being beyond description. I remember his mix from Manchester in 1990. . Beyond genius although bizarrely immensely modest.

I did a high five with Dj Sasha when he was standing in the dj booth at a club in Rhodos called the Paradiso Beach Club, and it was a great moment in life for me.

Sasha's long and melodically brilliant mixing style, with which he creates more than the sum total of the tracks/1+1=3, once again highlighted. One of the kings of mixing, if not THE king. Good vibes with ANNA as well. Incomprehensible that most of the audience is standing still. Severe cases of soul numbness. Sign of the times.

Also Sasha is King of long mixed w Feels.. He brings the Journey to us. Kinda bummed that Anna (with all due respect) didn't feel the music in the first few mixes. Wish She would have followed Sasha better but B2B sets... Maybe that's what they wanted? Just my opinion. Got better after the first 30min ❤ Good set tho!

Remember when back in 1994, he appeared on the cover of dance bible Mixmag doing prayer hands and looking heavenwards above the headline "Sasha: Son of God?" serious he has totally evolved from what was then the best dance era of all time and of course a time of the super clubs way back in the 90s., always remember the nights that he and Digweed played out Cream in Liverpool ! 😎

30 plus years following Sasha. He's so consistent and always fresh. Amazing to hear Anna and she collaborated so well..amazing talent Anna and selection innate.

I loved the Sasha mixes with two technics decks and a mixer at places like Shellys.. The Eclipse in 1991 and Universe in 1992 etc.. Them were the classic days.

Love this,Anna the young pup playing alongside old dog Sasha,Anne enthusiasm is infectious,she’s like a kid in a sweet shop,and Sasha who you can’t teach a old dog new tricks is enjoying playing alongside her One of my favs at moment playing it non stop
problem with festivals and dance parties these days, is that every DJ has to play bangers. The spoon fed creatures that we have produced ,I have four want bangers. I was lucky to raved in 89 and still going strong. Thanks Sasha, you legend.

Priveledged to experience Sasha and Digweed at Twilo in NY before it closed and ANNA in my hometown at a hangar that was open to the main airfield at an international airport with Charlotte DeWitte ...EPIC!! This is simply awesome. Wish I was there. 👌

Sasha is the best. And when he knows the crowd likes techno... he's even better. Last time I saw him in Dallas the resident opener played a house-y hard techno set while drinking an entire bottle of room-temperature tequila. It was amped up when he handed off to Sasha. Sasha was on fire and kept it really amped up. I think? It's a foggy memory.
This definitely needs to be at least twice as long, so good!

Amazing set, although I think in these cases with a B2B at least a 2 hour set would be a minimum... Like 1hour/dj, to express some more musical finess. And to make us happier more, and let us dance longer. :)
