'One day before we know it, parents become the kids'. This hits especially hard when you love your parents and become their caregivers. I knew this song would hit hard when Sasha posted snippets of this song with that lyric months ago. Tears me up everytime. 😭

This song just hit me hard. People who are at the phase started taking care of their parents bcus they started to grow old (become the kid) will definitely be crying over this song just like me..i don't know what but suddenly the tear just falls down🥺🥺

I love how she metaphorically treats adults as "children", implying that now we have the role of being the "parents" and taking care of them, it is something so true, Sasha is definitely too undervalued. This definitely deserves more recognition!

I can't swallow this song... For a long period now, I have been feeling anxious whenever I thought of the possibility that my parents could pass away any moment. I have been feeling very sensitive to their love they give me, each day, I feel it more and more and it brings me to tears to imagine one day, I'll have to do it on my own. That kind of new reality without them, scares me a lot. I am so grateful for my parents and what they have done for me and still do!

I remember when your dad got sick Was in a mountain that you wouldn’t move You gave everything you had to give Cause you knew you had everything to lose One day I’ll take care of you Like you took care of him I’ll drive you to the mall I’ll stock your bar with gin I’ll love you through the lows Just like you always did One day before we know it Parents become the kids I remember when I couldn’t sleep You were always there by my side And if someone ever broke my heart You would dry all of the tears that I cried And one day I’ll take care of you Like you took care of him I’ll drive you to the mall I’ll stock your bar with gin I’ll love you through the lows Just like you always did One day before we know it Parents become the kids And it might never happen But if I ever have them I hope that Someday they’ll take care of me Like I’ll take care of them Drive me to the mall And be there in the end And they’ll love me through the lows Just like you always did One day before we know it There ain’t much life to live One day before we know it Parents become the kids

Always told my Grandma that when I finally get the job, that she'll be the first I'll spend most of my money on. She took over care of me and my brother when I was 5 years old until I graduated College at 22. She passed away before I could fully develop into a man capable of giving back to her. I always dreaded the idea of her passing away but I knew it deep inside due to her age and declining health. When the day came, I was so calm it was unexplainable. Then when the day came to bring her to her final resting place, me and my brother were announced and considered her extended children. 😢❤ Loved her to the moon.

And the fact is it's just the day I die people will mourn. After that. Nothing matters. No one will remember what I liked and what I cared about. No one would praise me for my achievements or no one will think about the times I failed. Nothing here really matters. Happy live your life and don't just survive. It's short and you gotta take something with you even though they won't remember. Live the moment. Love who you wanna love. Hope life gets easier for everyone. Just know that at the end of the day it's gonna be fine. And a day will come that won't haunt you anymore. Please take care of yourselves. Much love ❤

When we were kids, time went by so slow. Wishing to grow up fast so we can do whatever we want. But as we grew into adulthood, our lives changes in ways we never knew it would. We are limited by time. Our parents are now older. Some even lost them on the way. But those of us who had the chance to become our parents Caretaker know how much this song speaks to us.
