Balbir Singh came to Delhi as a partition refugee and has been running this omelette stall since 1952, that is the last 66 years! He opens his stall every evening and has a long list of loyal patrons who hang around here while devouring his delicious omelettes.
The stall is a tiny place as compared to other nearby well-lit and lively food stalls but this one should have all your attention if all you really want is a plateful of delicious, filling omelettes!

How do you even sit and interview this man while every words out of his mouth is word of wisdom? Ghalib like..enjoyed this episode on a day when I am lucky enough to sit next to my maker....my mom. I am indebted forever. I turned 53 today and this story never gets old and if you let these words of wisdom take over your life, let it be. A ride one day will come to an end. 60 years me log retire ho jate hain...n this uncleji is 76 yes old n still working...to make his both ends meet...He is not begging...so proud of him...He doesn't have any family...I wish people should give him affection like a family member..like an elder.. n talk to him...he doesn't have anyone to talk to ..

He is a Sikh, Singh Sardar. There is absolutely no way in which he is going to sit quiet, come hell or high water, as long as he has two hands with which to earn his money, honestly. This was taught by the first Guru Nanak, and he is going to earn his money, and share with anybody who is hungry, as far as possible. This is the first tenet of Sikhism. After partition, when the refugees came to Delhi, none of them sat and begged. All of them did hard work and now they have built up businesses on one reputation - hard work, mehnat mushakkat ki kamaii!
