Thank you so much for all ur videos ! I am studying for step 2 now and I always comeback to ur channel. A true hero 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I like thinking of M-line as the 'myosin line' or the line that connects the myosin filaments. The 'H' band as the 'heavy' band cause that's where we have the 'heavy'/thick myosin filaments only. Then the A band as the 'all' band as it contains both the actin and myosin (including myosin on its own)

Thank you Dirty for another banger. One thing that helps me remember H-zone is "My(H)osin" and I-Band is "I be Actin Up". Good luck to everybody studying for exams, boards, and all the above! Yall are gonna crush it!
Dirty med, you are a beautiful human. I know it takes time and effort to do these and we appreciate everything you do!
You are SO AMAZING! TRULY A BLESSING! YOU are fulfilling your goal of simplifying and making complex concepts so easy to comprehend. I appreciate you greatly.
This came right after getting an answer incorrect on Uworld. Thanks DM!

This is so awesome! Thanks for sharing!
this is literally amazing, thank you.
Incredibly well explained, thank you
in human anatomy you have no idea how much this HELPED !!
This is amazing. Thanks, Dirty! If i can add, I also differentiate the H band and I band by looking at the width of the letters. H is thicker than I so it deals with myoTHICK. I is thinner, so I know I am dealing with acTHIN.
you are the best Dirty. no one could explains this better and easier than u do
Thanks so much very informative , and your prononciation makes it understandable for foreiners
Damn dude you are just another level, thank you so much
iconic. legendary. amazing. life changing. thank you.
Very well explained. Made it so much easier for me to understand!
Yes! The German word for midline is Mittellinie and apparently the Z line is "Zwischen= in between". I had no idea those had German origin but now It's going to be easier to remember them. Thank you for another amazing video!

Dirty med, thank you so much, you were absolutely right when you said, you made it easy compared to the overly priced crap i paid for 9:00
have you looked at Stefan Rauser's stuff on sarcomere structure? its amazing what is being done with crazy resolution tomography
You are the BEST 👌 👍
The rigor mortis physiology is actually quite high yield! I've seen it on many Step 1 NBME forms :)
Excellent
Damm, you made it easy 😭✨
Super ❤
i got a question on rigor mortis on comsae! so it was useful haha
I had a physiology question on Uworld about rigor mortis… answer was loss of ATP. ❤
Not sure if you did a video on it yet, but could you do one on bacterial genetics (transformation, transduction, etc), thanks!

Hi you can also watch meet patel’s video on bacterial genetics. I found those helpful.
You were right on, M-line --> mittle (Deutsche for middle) 😂
yes many tutorial videos but so much confusion! you can score where others have missed 😊
😍😍😍
how can a single z line move closer to two adjacent m lines simultaneously
But THIN filament is NOT only ACTIN. There proteins surrounding actin. Thin filaments include ACTIN, TROPONIN, TROPOMYOSIN. That is why striated muscles are THIN FILAMENT - REGULATED.
😂😂😀👍
Am l the only one watching video to purely enjoyments 😂❤
