Nice video, I am wondering what wireless microphone are u using to shoot the intro. It seems actually very neat. I think I will try the microphone. I use the iPhone built in but I feel it has that bit of echo that I am hoping to get rid off

Yeah this mic is really good and super affordable! I like the quality of it and will be buying a back up soon incase I lose this one! And the mic I use with my camera is the Rode Wireless Go.. amzn.to/3OzJVif

@@RosieAndre thank you Rosie, great content. I have been considering the Wireless Go Il for a while but honestly haven’t seen many reviews about it. I use rode mic with my Sony camera but just like u pointed out it is much easier to use ur phone to take videos. I use my phone almost 90% of the time to make videos just need to improve the audio portion because while iPhone mic is great it is bit sensitive to catch all type of noises

Yeah.. I film my sit down videos like this one with my Sony A6600 and Tamron 17-70 lens and Rode Wireless Go mic.. I haven't tried the 2 but the original is brilliant. And for vlogs I use my phone as its so much easier and more convenient. Just add this small mic and sometimes the Manfrotto Vlogging Tripod and I'm good to go!

How do you think a mic like this would do for recording song covers? Do you think it would pick up both guitar and voice nicely?

Great video and thank you for the test! For a micro that size and price it sounds great! If i can give you some advice i will say to you that it would sound even better when you edit the sound in post. If you are using the same micro all the time you have to do it one time for outside and inside recordings and save the settings in your editing program. That means that you have to use an equalizer to eliminate some sounds that your mic generates, using a compressor to eliminate volume drops and a limiter to avoid clipping of your sound. Like i said, you have to do it once for recordings inside and once for recordings outside and save the presets so you can use them everytime you make a new video with that mic. I don’t know what editing software you use but many of them have these plugins build in or you can put some third party plugins in them. But great channel and again, thank you!

I'm using iMovie and to be honest I'm not that great at editing - I really need to learn how to use Final Cut Pro.. I have it but find it too complicated at the moment to learn.. hopefully I'll make some time to learn it in 2022! But thank you for your suggesting - I'll take it on board! And of course, thank you for watching & commenting!

@@RosieAndre Trust me Rosie, FCPX is not that difficult to use, you just have to take your time for it 😄👍! I bought the Saramonic now for myself and i am realy impressed by it. Now i’m going to see what i can get out of it in post production!

You probably need a different video app. Filmic Pro would recognise it. The default camera app is v bad at recognising other audio (no Airpods Pro for example)

Probably spoilt by the iPhone's amazing built-in mic but honestly I didn't think the Saramonic mic was any better at least at a short distance. Maybe as you move further away then it would help but at that point you would want to use something else (like your Rode wireless) anyway.

I think the iPhone mic is good enough for most situations but I do think the Saramonic Mic made the audio better. I have now switched to the Shure MV88 mic which I think is good too.
