As a resident New Yorker all my life I can honestly say regaining consciousness in front of a bunch of other New Yorkers really does give you a sense of caring. I have epilepsy, was traveling alone in the afternoon on the subway and I happened to have a seizure. When I came to, people had cleared the bench, someone had put their jacket under my head so I wouldn't hurt myself and EMTs were coming to help me out of the car. These strangers stopped an entire train of busy New Yorkers to get me off of it safely. The kicker? No one took my wallet. A pack of gum was inexplicably missing, though.

I agree. Say what you want about her comedy but its clear she has a big heart with what she's trying to do- I've often felt the same way- people spend their time online gauging their opinions on their political opposite through impersonal videos, articles etc, but really when you go and face to face meet people you find you have at least *something* in common, and that all connects us, and erases the stigma that political opposites are each other's "enemy". If we could all empathize and understand why someone comes to a certain political affiliation/belief system, find something in common, we realize we are all part of the human race and just want the best for our fellow people. IDK but it really is a noble goal. Find the common ground = love vs. bitch and complain on our differences. I can't understate how much I admire what she's doing.

"And it feels like care." Perfect delivery slays Stephen. I don't generally find her comedy funny, but this interview was not only witty, it was very warm, human and she and Stephen play off each other very well. I'm going to have to reevaluate my take on Ms. Silverman's work.

Yeah, I saw that snippet of Mr. Roger's new documentary and wanted to cry almost instantly every time. He really said some beautiful things.

How can you not fall in love with this woman. Great comedian, great person. She is gorgeous down to the bone. I watch everything she does. Love you too Stephan, keep up the great work.

I went to New York back in the 90's and actually found it to be one of the friendliest cities I have ever been to. People were nice everywhere. In the shops, on the street, I was kind of shocked. I was living in Seattle at the time, which is really a snobby city. New York was the exact opposite.

8:09 well that just changed my perspective today! I'm humbled to learn that lesson and blessed to know that I deserve love too. I mean I knew that, but hearing it from someone else is powerful.

Thing is, some of the people she visits really DO want things like clean air and water, same as anyone else, but the association of "Republican" and "the party for me/us" isn't based on the actual policies of the party.
