The hype around pride has always seemed very baffling. Do we see whole month long campaigns dedicated to our war veterans, or to cancer research, or to autism awareness?? All massively important subjects that deserve far much more publicity. What consenting adults do behind closed doors is up to them and rights to private life should be respected but why should sexuality be openly promoted and celebrated, any more than one's race, or nationality or hair colour?? It all seems pretty odd in my opinion.

(For context, am gay) Originally it was because we were still a marginalised group, and it was a way of saying we weren't ashamed of who and what we were. But it only lasted a week. This whole month-long borderline compulsory celebration complete with new flag and new letters added is a very recent phenomenon. Should you ever attend a Pride celebration, it might surprise you to notice most of the people there are actually straight these days, showing how tolerant and right-on they are. Which is really what all this is, an exercise in narcissism by people who don't realise they're riling up the public with it, and causing actual LGB people one Hell of a headache accordingly.

"Behind closed doors" - This is an anachronistic notion better relegated to the history books. These days, it is perfectly acceptable to not only publicize your particular proclivity, but also demand acceptance with the full backing of the state, including use of force. If you don't like it, you could always toss away the self-limiting shackles of "peace" and other civilized notions and resort to violence. After all, can you name a time in history when deception, subversion and ultimately violence or the threat of violence didn't win the cause?

Be honest now.. even in 2008 the police force was an authoritarian law supporting shit show that worked against the public.. it wasn't all sunshine and roses back then or even a decade before then either, they just still had SOME residual respect left from people who never interacted with police to see just how bad they were and that it was getting worse, now that's mostly gone and will NEVER be earned back no matter what they do. They are against the people they are supposed to preserve the rights of at every chance and they are the enforcers who are taking peoples rights and freedom at will without consequence.
As someone who was brought up to respect the police, I have NO respect left in me anymore. It’s not something that I have done, but a whole lot of what they have done. You only have to look at the new New Scotland Yard to see how this is going. It’s not a police station anymore, but a fortress. A military base. The Tower of London is less fortified than New Scotland Yard. Bloody great barriers, armed guards and more cameras than a Chinese high street.
Ive been calling todays society as heading toward " Orwells 1984 in a pink tutu" for years, this flag sums it up perfectly.
The police are actively wearing and endorsing these pride flags on their vehicles and uniform. Since they're showing active preference for a specific group of people and ideology, it's right to question whether they are impartial. It's right to believe that they are prejudice against anyone NOT in that particular group.

@Yuri R. Interesting. Are you talking about the extremists and bigots within the LGBTQ+ community? Because there is a schism happening at the moment within that community, where the LGB members who have been fighting for years to get and, in fact, received acceptance from society in general and the extreme activists that are undoing that hard work. You have had lesbians banned from attending "Pride" marches because of trans activists. You have had lesbians accused of being transphobes by transactivists, for not wanting to sleep with men who only identify as women. You have had a concerted effort from transactivists to cancel JK Rowling, for the high crime of stating that women and young girls should have their safe space. People had been accepting gay people as a matter of course, but they do not accept the ideologues that have infiltrated the LGBTQ+ community. The deliberate targeting of children by those with the LGBTQ+ has tainted the community, because this was the very same accusations that the original LGB members had to battle against to get acceptance in the first place. You now have people within the community trying to normalise sexual relations between adults and children, trying to manipulate the language by calling themselves MAPs (Minor Attracted People). The sad thing is that the ordinary gay person is being tarred with the same brush because the LGBTQ+ community has been co-opted by these extremists!

I was always under the distinct impression that the police were supposed to be apolitical in the way they dealt with the public at large. They didn't, 'take sides', in any argument expect when it came to the law. They supported those who act in accordance with it and dealt with those were against it. But there's been many instances where the police have stood by and watched activists being violent and destroy public/private property, whereas, on other occasions, they've gone in heavy-handed against those peacefully protesting against left-wing ideologies, under the proviso that their presence was enough to be deemed justification to do so. It's not so much the police themselves, but those who command them that issue such directives, I'm sure. And that's what needs addressing, as at present, the public's perception of the police is changing with a distinct lack of respect for those who act unjustifiably for one political affiliation and against another.

The Holocaust wasn't unique; it was simply the worst in terms of the numbers killed and the way in which it was done, by a nation regarded up to then as at the heart of Western civilisation. That is the No.1 lesson to be learned: if the Germans could do it, in the 20th century, then ANYONE can do it.

All branches of the public sector hold all Conservative ministers and secretaries of state in contempt. The police know they're untouchable, as are the civil service.

@@EE12CSVT I wouldn’t disagree. None of them behave professionally . Nearly all of them are lefties who are using their position to undermine so called democracy . The left wing democrats in America are crucifying Trump….love him or loath him and the left wing in this country have done the same thing to Boris Johnson . To quote Shakespeare….”there is something rotten in the State of Denmark”.

One has to ask then - does the Home Secretary give a toss or is his political career and pension more important - I think we both know the answer.
Today's liberalism is tomorrows fascism.
This is a Police State already, Wake Up
It caused me anxiety going to buy a car and had pride balloons and signs in my face!
"The holy month of Pride".. Classic!
Protectig people from anxiety is a truly chilling way to abolish liberty.
I am fed up with the Rainbow Mafia (1%) dominating our society.
We have a first amendment over here BUT IT'S HAPPENING HERE IN THE USA AS WELL!

Imagine a country that fought a brutal war of Independence from a historically known, repulsively evil King George and British Empire, only to turn around and become "Besties" with them almost immediately thereafter?!
Two brilliant people, keep it going.
Wonderful….👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Those that can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.
BBC causes me anxiety, I can't listen to the biased reports. They know what they are doing.
When you sit back and do nothing, evil will prevail. We're literally watching that very thing happening right now, yet most people couldn't care less.....until it bites them. Then the boo hoo's start and we have to listen to their whining, because they are poor little victims. You reap what you sow and all that.
These 2 are heroes. More power to them and others like them.
Can I get politicians arrested because they cause me anxiety?
Thank-you for this interview. Thank-you to your guests - true Patriots! 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴
If the flag was inaccurate that would be one thing, but the flag does represent the single party dictatorship, so it's not far from accurate
They won't target JK Rowling too famous.
And yet people effortlessly get away with mocking other beliefs and religions online.
If someone puts a brick through your window you need to go and give them the brick back. . .
You got that right, next one I see I'm going to ask to get me a pizza as they do F all else these days
What ever happened to "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" Seems that words have taken on a whole new life, and in some cases totally new meanings.

They pushed to say 'words are violence' or 'silence is violence' when it was to state that they will not tolerate and will attack others for opinions
There is one thing the police and other public services should not do is the support all this pride stuff as some forces got the rainbow flag on their police vehicles etc it wrong as they should be neutral to everything.
I’m wondering if the reason the Police are so on the side of dancing in pride parades and not defending women being punched in the face by trans activists etc is because of Police diversity recruitment policies. Just a thought
You can't be critical about this movement or else you can be fired from your job because someone reports you.
Brilliant. Respect from Hamilton Ontario Canada
the police don't like being called the BAD GUYS when they act like the bad guys they really need to learn what "CRIME" is and what it is not. anyone who claims to have "ANXIETY" from being made fun of should be banned from owning any media devices and prescribed a lawn to touch. people shouldn't be accountable for fictional anxiety,.
the lady lawyer is brilliant but she's wrong when she says "the police relies on our consent". That's clearly no longer the case. The police is doing what it bloody feels like.
Causing anxiety a criminal offence.... then the whole government is guilty!
I've zero respect for the police.
Can we have unicorns everywhere and heterosexual month!
Police getting ready for pride …getting there Parade float ready …meanwhile crimes go undetected…seen with my own eyes a on duty Policeman with Nail Varnish on each nail of each finger ….utter pathetic how the police have now become these panellist are both spot on with there thinking and thoughts
So the police decide who's anxiety is worth more than someone else's in order to arrest someone?!
Sarah and Harry = GB Heroes. very brave to stand up the regime on this - especially Sarah risking her livelihood.... two new folk I respect and admire for what they are doing.
