Wow... just wow. You should try and sing Barbry Allen in this fashion, a-la Jean Ritchie!

You should be able to modify the note of the sympathetic resonation of the banjo's strings to your voice by using chord structures. Superb as always Sarah.

TheRamsberg Oh, cool!! I knew that being in different tunings sounded better with different songs, but I didn't think about making chords. Thank you! Awesome tip.

Another technique that might be of interest to you is the "hum/whistle". It's where one whistles a note, then at the same time hums the same note. It's not easy, but when they match just right, a curious warbling sound is produced. I do wonder what would happen if the "hum/whistle" was done into the back of a banjo. Anyways, have fun.

Bart makes some killer banjos. I've been working in a music shop lately which means I get to rub my paws all over some amazing instruments. My current favorite is a Reiter Professional w/internal resonator.

@@winkcrittenden6011 Bart "made" some killer banjos. He retired. I knew I shoulda bought one 30 or so years ago when they were much more affordable 🙂

This is all I'll say about this. ex·traor·di·nar·y ikˈstrôrd(ə)nˌerē,ˌekstrəˈôrdnˌerē/ adjective 1. very unusual or remarkable. "the extraordinary plumage of the male" synonyms: remarkable, exceptional, amazing, astonishing, astounding, sensational, stunning, incredible, unbelievable, phenomenal; striking, outstanding, momentous, impressive, singular, memorable, unforgettable, unique, noteworthy; out of the ordinary, unusual, uncommon, rare, surprising; informalfantastic, terrific, tremendous, stupendous, awesome; literarywondrous "an extraordinary coincidence"
