My sister passed away in February this year. She was usually very strict with me because she loved me the most. When I got lost, she cried like a baby. she worked very harder than everyone in the family. I usually wish to repay her but right now...😢 I am an antique researcher. And officially, I am working as a public staff that have been helping life of thousands of people every month, yet I couldn't help my sister. It usually hits me so hard when I think about my job. I feel useless sometimes😢 RIP, my beloved sister! I will never forget you!

If there were anything I could tell my children, it would be this song. "I'm so afraid to love you, but more afraid to lose. Clinging to a past that doesn't let me choose." They did give me everything, including life. So...this is the perfect song.

I saw her in concert 24 years ago when i was in high school. Crazy how her voice and talent can't be captured by a cd or record. Her live shows when you are there with her are something that even this video can't capture. She would commune with the audience. The best description I have of that night was as though an angel was singing and and interacting with all those in attendance. She was one of a kind.

This is by far the best cut of this song ever.

No fireworks, no big flashing screens, no naked dancers... just pure feelings and sentiments dancing in a minimalist setting, I love it!

I've been listening to this song since last saturday when I heard that a good friend of mine died in a car crash :( Daniel, you were way too young to die :( You were only 22, you still had your whole life before you :( You didn't even know that you were a father for 3 days before you died :'( You were so happy when you told us that you were going to be a father and now you won't even get a chance to actually be one :'( Life is so unfair :'( Why? Why did you have to die? We will miss you Dani!

I remember a woman I met during public health clinicals in Maine in the late 90's. I just hope she and her son are well.

Musicians in bands are almost always very good. But, the backup singers do not get enough credit for their contribution. This is a beautiful song no matter what version you listen to, but this backup singer is damn good. Kudos to her.

This is really a universal song of loss, not lost love. If is was written about lost love then it has transcended the original intent. Based on some comments I have seen here from the past, it is obvious. I once saw my child's dance studio owner/instructor, at her student's dance recital, dance to to this with her own choreography and self made flowing outfit...she had lost her newborn child....that took real guts from deep within...here she was teaching everyone's else's kids and had lost her infant child a few days after birth. It just wasn't fair, and we all knew it. Not a dry eye in the house. Hell, I can't even get through this song anymore without tearing up really bad because of this memory. "Don't let your life pass you by, weep not for the memory." The lyrics are the lost child singing back to her mother from heaven.: "I'm okay mom, don't weep, go live your life, make a difference, keep teaching, keep dancing, life is too short." We are all so fragile...why the hell are we so damned mean to each other?

I'm so very sorry...

When I listen to this song, I think of my little one that never came to be. My wife and I celebrated our first pregnancy over a year ago and about 4 months in, we suffered a miscarriage. It broke us both. We carry on because we must, but we both think of our little Angel (we named our unborn child that) all the time. When I hear this, I think of myself singing the first part of the chorus, and the final words of the chorus being from our unborn child. We love you so much, Angel. One day we will meet for the first time. But until then, we will never forget you.

I atterned that amazing 1994 tour as well. The vocals and songs were beyond perfect. The show in Los Angeles had 5 encores. She didn't even introduce the band until the 2nd encore - such confidence in her fan support.Here backup singer was really beautiful as well. Maybemy most favorite concert ever.

this song makes me emotional. its like so many thoughts are running in your head.

This is for my grandma. She is so sick right now with breast cancer and with congenital heart disease it's amazing she's still with us. But I love her more than words can speak and more than even my own heart can stand. I will never forget you grandma, no matter what happens.

This is as near to perfect as any piece of music I have ever heard. This woman has the voice of an angel. Today's pop singers seem so pale and insignificant by comparison. One day, we'll get back to that which truly stirs the soul. But it will be a fairly long and painful journey, I'm afraid.

Of course not; this was the hit single. She wisely discarded the bland first verse, and added the duh duh dahs (stolen from another recent hit from a female singer). This makes the other sound like a demo.

When any artist combines the perfect voice with the perfect words, magic happens! You actually feel the music in your soul and the words force us to look at ourselves and try to be better people. Sarah has that talent....Thanks!
