Same. I stumbled across ACOTAR back when I was obsessed with Beauty and the Beast retellings nearly a decade ago. And now it’s on the NYT bestseller list this year so it’s been wild and a little unnerving tbh, how rapidly the fandom has grown. It’s a lot to get used to

Seeing her get the attention and love she deserves is literally so heartwarming im so proud of her

I met her at Chicago BookCon when I was 16. She signed my Throne of Glass Book book and I told her she looked like a fairy princess - she teared up when I said that 😂😭 such a sweet person. So happy she’s getting her moment!!!❤️

She is the best. The capability her words have to provoke sooo many emotions. I’m forever impressed by her. Any time, “A better world” is mentioned in the ToG series, I become a sopping mess

Good lord how can you do that to yourself. It took me a whole week to process ACOMAF. I need to wait months before I can read another one of her books again, her books just bewitch me body and soul.

@@Ashley_eHOSAB honestly was one I read a recap of. CC1 was good but the second half of CC2 was such a drag tbh so I couldn’t stomach a reread (a first for me). And now I’m in CC3 and I’m just rage reading now. Love SJM and have been reading her stuff for about a decade, but CC3 has me angry tbh

@@May-qb3vx Thank you for making me feel better about life! I decided to quit today. The only reason why I need to understand what happens I guess it’s because of the crossover? I’m wondering if I can just read the crossover chapters? I heard there’s one romance in the second book that is good. Rhun. But like it’s not enough to make me like the book. I’m on page 250 and I quit! I’m just curious as to why it’s so bad? It’s not even the plot, maybe the plot would be good except the way she writes it? She tells you things and doesn’t show you. And then the descriptors when she does describe things - are very lazy. And don’t even get me started on the spice🫠. It’s really corny. Like a gym? I’ve got no problem with you, but it was how it was done was just so lazy and it wasn’t even sexy. It was gross and raunchy.

Well, even my local bookshop (about 200 meters from the European river that is named after her, or vice versa) had a clutch of fans sitting in front of the door at januari 30th. I bought the novel electronic last Sunday and Wednesday I finished it. Good, but not as full of biting humor as the first 2 installments, but the end, I loved it.

I was introduced to Throne of Glass in HS enjoying it as a cute YA story, and then it turned into smut in book 3 or so. I assume it was a publisher decision and not her own, but it put a poor taste in my mouth for her work 😢

And you clearly didn't take the time to even read what the book was about before the this enterview, sad
