A lot of people complain about covers being unoriginal, like "oh this artist is too lazy to write their own song." Or they're offended when a cover changes the mood and meaning from the original song. I think reimaginations, whether they're better than, worse, or just different from the original, always make me appreciate every version of the song more. Each new version and performance draws my attention to something different. Music is so awesome :)

I love how she is just bursting with so much soul that singing and playing the piano isn't enough, her foot is also tapping along the whole time and she's practically dancing in her seat!

This is incredible, I love this version and arrangement. If you didn't know any different, you'd think this was her own song.

+bryant ward It takes a true talent to not notice that Sara has dozens of original songs- not even songs presented to her by producers before they got to anyone else, but songs she personally wrote. And, I don't know why it's so hard for so many people to fathom, but there is a great measure of originality in taking lyrics and a tune that already exist and re-imagining them in a completely different style. So Sara sometimes sings songs that were sung by someone else first. Obviously then she must have an awful voice and no talent. #clearly

Tons of artists do it and they aren't nothing special sometimes they are horrible. #clearly you don't listen to a lot of music people do it time and time again. she has a wander full voice. That's not the issue, rather or not she had original songs is not the issue, this song choice and the style was the issue. #comeon!

I love to see when artists take a song and interpret it their own way, rather than trying to sing like someone else. Sara does this beautifully, and now I can actually make out all of the words in the song. It's easy to tell that she puts her heart and soul into every performance - Sara never disappoints!

I like it. I like the slowness. It's catchy to the ear.

Dayum. This made me appreciate this song even more. What an anthem for remembering your worth. Sara has such a roomy, warm style that resonates so well.

She could sing almost anything and make it sound good, from Elton John to Beyoncé. Amazing performer. These are my Greatest Female singer/song writer/performers of all time - who wrote tons of their own hits, sung them, and accompanied themselves on piano. ...50's/60/70's' Carole King, 60's/70, Laura Nyro, 70's/80's/90's Carly Simon, 2000's Sara Bareilles. That's rare company.

Sara has to be one of the top young female vocalists today. On stage with just about any other female artist, she wipes them up. She's a musician, singer and song writer, she should be filling the biggest arenas...maybe one day.

I really appreciate it when artists interpret other songs in their own way. It shows that they have their own style and this sets them apart from everyone else. She put alot of heart into this song, and all her other songs. Being open minded and different than normal (aka weird) is what leads us to greatness. And Sara is great. Love her songs. Love her covers. Love how she paves her own path. She's a true role model.

I actually love when musicians slow the tempo down of popular up tempo songs. You can hear the beauty of the words and melody. Bette Midler does an A+ rendition of Waterfalls.....You would not believe. Ms. Bareilles can do no wrong.

I love the Live factor in Sara Bareilles' music. And her voice is so wonderful, like a warm spring breeze on a sunset beach.. mMmm!! :D

it was just a figure of speech. I was so amazed at how she flipped the song and find out to make it sound better than it ever has when Beyoncé sings it that's when I met

What a cool cover - so different, totally made it her own (which really is what you should you with covers!)! I guess you either like it, or you don't - I like it, it's unique sounding and neat to know she did the arrangement herself! She is a incredibly talented woman!

All the covers I have heard her do she has beautifully remastered into her own beautiful version and I usually love her version more than the original, especially Yellow by Coldplay and Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay. I only sing her version of that one if I perform it. I just wish I could play piano like her.

I love this cover. It's sooooo Sara. She sings with her own style. The beat, the rhytm of the music, the techic of how play the piano,, it's her characteristics. When I hear this, it's like her song, not remind me of Beyonce. Beyonce and Sara both are good. But if I had to choose, I would prefer Sara because I play piano too while singing. Just like her. I'm not singing with dancing like Beyonce. And this is just about choice :) Love youuuu Sara... Waiting for your concert here in Indonesia.

I knew her name and for the past few weeks have really been discovering her. If you watch one of her videos, you have to watch another. Sara Bareilles is immensely talented, in my opinion the best female singer musician out there. Everything she does as an instrumental musician, vocal musician and her vocal quality is perfection.
