You can't control it if you've just recorded an album where you recorded too high vocals then had to tour it, is a shame.

Back when the studio version was on youtube you could have heard the good version.
You know it's sad to see a amazing band like this drop down to this level. I remember the first time I saw them back in 07 and then later in 2010 it was a terrible difference.
There appears to be an echo in the venue where this was recorded. Also; His mic is wayyy to fucking loud. The other mics are barely even on.
PREACH IT!
Anthony was meant for Circa Survive, this dude was Saosin haters gonna hate
I always wondered about the range issue. And I always wondered how much he was pushing himself to get those notes - this shows that he was pushing himself way too much and too dangerously. Its a shame.
I hate that cove lost his voice. He used to be amazing live but I guess he's one of the unlucky vocalists who lose their ability to sing live after years of constant strain. Sad that he lost such an amazing voice.

@@aaronmalcolm8890 it's not the same power and range that he used to have tho. If you listen to live versions of Dead American songs you'll see his overall quality of voice had downgraded. However, he was able to hit that high note on Voices back on 2018 so maybe he's just not trying to push his voice as much

@@bangbangcabrera very well could be true. The big thing to remember is that he was also trying to maintain the range of Anthony Green while he was still in Saosin. I think manny try to compare apples to oranges. Both are great in their own ranges. I love both of them as musicians and wish them both great success in the future

@@aaronmalcolm8890 definitely agree with you there, while Cove prob damaged his voice trying to equal Anthony's range they're both super amazing and talented singers. Just like you said, they'll get compared but they're both on their own levels
You didn't know anthony rejoined for a show in the future? Hopefully a tour too!
@quin2222 what are you saying?
It's still such a bummer he fried his voice straining it for Saosin for so long.
if you guys look most of their video, you can see the other members always put a face like they want to make it quick,so they can stop hearing cove's voice, but alex seems didnt know whats happening at the front,he is too happy enjoying with his set.lol
this is my favorate band and the first band i listened to as a young kid. Beautiful intro to this song, im sorry but the singer fucking killed it. Anthony Green with the rest of the band made saosin amazing. Its too bad to see such a wonderful group fallen apart
"Where is my body wash!" haha :p
@Epitomeofextreme it depends on the person. cuz some people it fucks them up, some it doesn't.
A-Rod is such a fucking monster on drums
I agree

Does anyone know whether Anthony does Cove songs or vise versa?

well.. that explains a lot
@snusskalle i take it you watched older live videos or the dvd?
Notice how as soon as cove stops singing, the rest of the band start smiling....lol.
the music sounded so freeking good then he started singing
I love the hell out of Cove but I can't help but laugh... In a good way tho haha
How can you say that while listening to this?

Hahaha so true
@applebug yeah, they can record good shit, but playing live is a vital component to ALL bands. regardless.
@snusskalle there was actually an interview he did...dont remember where it was. but the reason he stopped doing warm ups was because people in the band started to shit on him for his voice, so he just kinda said fuck it then
so sad he stopped warming up his voice and caring before performances :(
I feel very sorry for Cove though. He only got into the band because his audition tape sounded similar to Anthony Green. For the years he was in Saosin, he was always compared to Anthony Green and so many of the old Saosin fans hated him because he was similar but not the same to Green. Finally, Cove was kicked out of Saosin. Gotta feel bad for him
Is this real?
@kissmyaxx various sources, few band members includes said cove smokes cigarettes

The drummer..wow lol so sick
good work turtle
Cove should have said "what is my singing worth" !
wow
@adamfitchadam 's been singing for quite a while, he'd learn control over that period, and, if you listen from when he started to later shows, a few years, he got a lot better. According to a few band members Cove smokes cigarettes.. like often. i'm sure that killed his voice
does vocalist wearing ralp lauren shoes?
wonder who there new singer is gonna be
cove should've just hardcore screamed the whole song
@dirTliar they're looking at maybe the singer for tides of man who actually got kicked out of tides for wanting to audition for saosin.
I love the expression of Beau in 3:18 xD
good god
@adammariucci THANK YOU, Saosin are great but when Cove sang he was only really using his nose and a fuck tonne of computers to make it good hence the ultra fail at concerts.
i came here for the drums.. XD
Clic Like, if you are still enjoying this awesome song since 2007
I think it is impossible to sing such a difficult song better than that. If someone could do it better than Cove did on this live then I would appreciate to see it right now.

Is tha Cove Reber singing?
holy hell Cove what were you doing
This isn't anything like being at an actual show in person - I've seen them live, and they were excellent. This video is not representative of what Saosin is like live when you're there (seems like a lot of live videos do this to bands).
His confidence was gone by this point.
Would love to hear anthony green sing in search of of solid ground

Im a big fan of saosin, im always listening to their music, my phone has 90% of their songs...I think....his voice deteriorates because of his growrlings...ever since he learned how to growrl..his voice started to change....i think Cove pushed the limits of his vocal chords because hes trying to hard to growl....and for me,hes voice is purely for clean vocals...but I think due to the fact that theres no one in the band can growrl better, he put his voice to a grinding death...and took that place

oh goddddddd. I see now
rly love this band but damn
2019?
Here voice are faded different from 2007 tsskk I miss the old voice
@dirTliar yep
@dirTliar Hopefully someone that can sing songs from the new album AND the first album more consistently... That'd be great.
WHERE IS MY BODY WASH!?
que le ha pasado a este tio en la garganta?
yeah theyre all from years ago your right
@Swansen03 So many factors kill your voice, if you wanna be really careful you wont smoke, drink alcohol or acidic fruit juice, you wont eat dairy, you wont eat several hours before bed, you need a lot of sleep, you should warm up before every show and have should a routine of excercises - but we all know if you're in a band that just can't really happen most of the time. You can't control it if you've just recorded an album where you recorded too high vocals then had to tour it, is a shame.
The reason he wasn't singing right or not trying was because he was no longer happy being in the band. There was a lot of drama between cove and the other band members.
the way he sings reminds me of Enter Shikari.
I think due to the wonders of modern technology (ie contemporary recording studios) it is entirely possible to polish a turd.
i have a feeling he wasn't warmed up very much or at all. and yea he sounded way louder than necessary.
Damn! Adam Sandler killed it!
