That’s Janine Turner as Nancy Beth Marmillion, who would later star as Maggie O’Connell on Northern Exposure!

I felt so bad for Truvy. She all but carried that Famly with the Hair Salon and it took a tragedy for Spud to realize how much he took her for granted.

Love, love. I've developed a particular appreciation for Dolly. She bought the Cadillac (per her story). Every month, I buy one (ranging from $20-250.00), believing what I built, earned and co-established financially will be restored. One day, I won't return the leather pants to Nordy's Rack to make rent (probs tomorrow). When we settle, I will keep the Dolly purchase. For now, the return is adulting.

I think Dylan McDermott was wrong for this role. He and Julia have zero romantic chemistry. They seem more like brother and sister.

His character is supposed to come off as cold. Shelby is based on the sister of the playwright and in real life her husband remarried only a few months after she died.
