🦌 Santa Rosa National Park (Casona de Santa Rosa) | An EXPERIENCE Worth LIVING
Santa Rosa National Park is the place where history and nature intertwine, today considered a World Heritage Site. The Santa Rosa sector, of the Guanacaste Conservation Area, is the cradle of recovery of the Tropical Dry Forest. It also houses the Casona de Santa Rosa Historical Museum, where one of the most important pages in the history of Costa Rica was written.
The first step to visit this park is to make a prior reservation on the website: reservaciones.acguanacaste.ac.cr , since they have a limited number of daily tickets, it is important to know that it is closed to the public on Tuesdays.
Upon arrival at the park you will find a booth, where park rangers will verify your reservation and you can also purchase the entrance fee, which costs CRC 1,243 for Costa Ricans and residents; and USD$15 for foreign tourists.
In this site, declared a World Heritage Site, the only patch of dry tropical forest in Mesoamerica is preserved. In addition, the area is totally connected to humid, cloudy and rainy forests, which makes it possible for it to have an important biological richness.
For all of the above and more... the Santa Rosa National Park is an experience worth living.
