I miss my home state. New Mexico is truely the Land of Enchantment
Hermosa la ciudad de Santa Fé, una de las ciudades más antiguas de los Estados Unidos. Me encanta su arquitectura, su historia, sus raíces hispanas...Recomiendo visitar esta ciudad.

Santa Fe in New Mexico is so beautiful and it has beautiful colours
I’m from Saudi Arabia, and I’m amazed by how similar this rich and beautiful architecture is to our traditional architecture.

My Moroccan bf said the same thing about the adobe style (mud and straw block walls) homes and villages when we visited New Mexico. It's true, so much alike the homes in his Atlas village . Very beautiful and fitting with nature. Also very smart for a desert climate as it keeps cool in summer and warm in winter. It's interesting how very differnt geographic locations and cultures can have the same answers to basic needs.

@Deborah Lancaster no it's because santa fé is Islamic Moorish architecture, brought to spanish by the muslim during medieval times. Take a look at cordoba's architecture (same arches, roofs, and colours). It also has this traditional west african muslim style.
I've visited Santa Fe many times, and it is lovely place. One of the more unique and interesting cities in the United States. It's a center for art and southwestern culture--architecture, food, music, visual arts. I have loved every minute spent in and around Santa Fe. Thank you for the video.
Santa Fe has always had a special place in my heart. I grew up with my grandmother in SF for about 10 years. I moved out East for schooling and am finally moving back although I am moving to Rio Rancho to a new Express Home, I am grateful to be able to visit more.

I have generally noticed comments from select individuals (such as Jovanni Sosa below) that hint or indicate that these lands are Mexican. They are partially right. Spanish lands for 300 years, Mexican lands for 27 years and now part of the US (150+ years). We value and love Mexican culture and respect our Mexican-American brethren but heed caution in stirring controversy Mr. Sosa. Because, the last time the south tried to play that card (1861), we settled it and will continue to do so in the future if you mean to create trouble. 50 States Indivisible. Whatever it Takes!. Enjoy your viewing of videos using American technology Mr. Sosa. God Bless. Viva New Mexico, USA (without doubt).

Which country beautiful

porque su arquitectura se parece a la de michoacan? almenos en lo que respecta al adobe
Many parents in Santa Fe ignore traffic laws with their children. Many of these parents are civil servants. Youth in New Mexico deserve to see law-abiding, ethical and conscientious civil servants, in capital cities. Their future depends upon it. What do you think? Should adults obey traffic laws in Santa Fe? Law-abiding adults and streets are essential for states and nations. The current freewheeling federal family phenomenon is a disgrace internationally. Perhaps doubling traffic fines in capital cities, would allow youth to see adults obeying the law.

Martin Kent where did this come from
@martinkent333
7 жыл бұрын
Washington D.C. etc. I discovered the freewheeling federal family phenomenon, which is the federal civil servant parents ignoring traffic laws daily. The fact that Mother's Day, Fathers Day and the national holiday were among the days that this F.F.F.F. occurred, meant that lawless capital city streets and adults were an international disgrace. Therefore I put this comment on every state capital KZread video, that had a number of views. Doubling traffic fines in capitals and moving the capital if the public are unable to obey traffic laws, makes sense to the youth of America. Lawless adults are unable to understand that a stop sign means stop. These feeble-minded capital city slickers suffer from an avalanche of karma, but why should the youth suffer? They should thrive and not pay these lawless adults any concern. What do you think? I live in a city where one man raped and killed 11 children, another man blew up a loaded jet and another man killed 49 women. Lawless streets and adults are unacceptable anywhere and capital cities should be law-abiding to a large degree. Imagine if every federal capital was full of ethical, conscientious and law-abiding people. Your world would go from good to great. The youth would smile! U.S. state capitals are ripe. According to the Road Safety Office at the World Health Organization, law-abiding streets and highways are long overdue.

Martin Kent: This town has no rules for driving, you will find on any given busy intersection three and sometimes four vehicles blow a red light. I was T-Boned on my Triumph at an intersection the guy blew the red light plane as day. And then had no insurance tried to flee as well. I don't want to give out the nationality of this person. just not the same town as I remember 42 years ago.. But what town is?

Mexico can't even handle it's cartel problem and you think it could actually handle the US military? Or even the heavily armed US citizenry? Don't make me laugh
The elected officials not governing our city is creating chaos for the people visiting and people living in Santa Fe. The loud cars that take over our city day and night and the speeding cars and running red lights is an embarrassment to this city and the tax payers. There is no police presence to control any of this. In short, Santa Fe is going in the wrong direction. The officials are more interested with making the rail and art district another Disney park and not fixing problems at hand. I moved to Santa Fe over 14 years ago and love it, but the last few years of increased noise from the modified car mufflers have taken over the sound scape and is causing noise pollution that's unacceptable for most cities. My family and friends will no longer visit due to lack of sleep either in hotel rooms or at my place due to the noise. There are laws in place to curb the illegal cars but it's not being enforced. This is unfair and I don't know to approach it. I have contacted the governor's office and never received a reply, same with the mayor. Do our elected officials ever step outside to see what's going on in this city? This has been going on for a long time and there's been more than ample time to fix this.
I think they screwed up the uniform 'adobe' building style, to be honest. Most adobe buildings have a lighter sandy color, because of the dried clay, which looks coral during the sunrise. These buildings all have a darker, flat brown color which looks like wet mud. It's not realistic looking, but that's just my opinion.

Most of that is all original Adobe. We weren't trying to mock anyone's style, this is our style. We didn't screw anything up by trying to have an Adobe "style" town. This is authentic shit my friend

I lived in Santa Fe in the mid 70's to early 80's right around when the charm of the town started being abused I moved. I moved back in 98 I was amazed how it changed, 19 years gone by and the city is a serious Shit Hole. Over populated the Rail yard compound is an atrocity of some designer from New York the California wealthy have completely taken over. The locals are no longer local, not respectful anymore the older folks that had something to teach are gone. It just seems wrapped in a plastic box feel now. The plaza is nothing like I remember in the 70's just soulless. Sorry I loved Santa Fe but the change did not do it any good. the homeless population is everywhere constantly hitting me up for money. The other side of town (south) no one knows how to drive half don't have insurance, I know the 3 second rule when your light turns green that out of town folks don't understand. It's because three cars will blow a red light so you better wait before you go.
