I have performed this song twice and I use it as a measure to see if my voice is healthy enough for the higher register. I can now say that after a month of being incapable of singing, I can sing this and hold the last note. For anyone who cares, this feels important.

For people trying to sing this, if you can’t hit the A4 at the end you could sing a D4 instead. It doesn’t have the same crazy powerful belting affect but it’s still really cool and a way to not blast your vocal chords out of existence! Haha

Wow you're right, it does sound really good!

im an alto so this song is so difficult to sing because the low parts are sometimes so hard to hit and so are the high notes, so when i do it right it feels like a reward

My voice is croaking every five seconds but idgf I will FINISH this song

the last note is directly in my passage so i can’t belt it without breaking and i can’t sing it in my head voice because then it’s too weak :(((

Sung this for the first time in months. Whilst in puberty. Yet my voice cracked only once 👍

This is so much easier than the film version let me tell you. And it’s actually in my range, which is nice. Just because I can hit a C3 doesn’t mean I want to.

Okay, I literally only started listening to Newsies songs from a friend of mine, and godDAMN THEY ARE AWESOME! I only recently learnt how to sing this, and I got it pretty much perfect? I'm a female soprano, so I did have to adjust my voice to the parts in the beginning, but other than that, I got it! This karaoke was an awesome help and I am definitely singing this song for one of my upcoming auditions using this karaoke!

Thank you guys so much I have used this for more auditions than you could imagine

Damn, this song is a full body experience every time.

My range is from A#2 to A4 as a girl, and this is such a great song to challenge myself with, thank you for this amazing karaoke track!

I've been trying to sing this for two years and I just now was able to sing it all the way through don't give up guys!

i decided yesterday to sing Santa Fe for the school Talent Show at the end of the year and i always forget how hard it is to pry myself off of vocals cause I've only sung this with the original and god is it hard to hit the notes without it

That last note kills my voice every time.

Breath control of always good. Make sure you're breathing from your diaphragm and not your shoulders and neck to give you proper support

If it's too high and your straining your voice I reccomend researching your mix voice for musical theatre. It's very important and helps an awful lot. It might be an inconvenience but a singing teacher is the best way to go. Basically give me your best wicked which NWAHAHAHA . Make it loud and nasally. That's your placing for your mixed voice. Keep it open and not straining. Try singing the note on a nasally neeeee and open it out to a aahhhhh "neeeeeeaaaaAAAHHHHH" it should feel comfortable and you can pretty it up later
