Great video guys! It's been my dream to get my campervan up to the Arctic Circle and further since I built it 3 years ago, I was planning on playing it safe and going in summertime but the likes of you two, Jess & Jon and Alex have convinced me winter is the best time to go. Keep up the great vids👍

Thank you so much! Honestly it’s hard work and generally there is always something either not working, needing unfreezing or a struggle. But it’s 1000000% worth it! It’s a beautiful place and when you put the snow on the landscape with a beautiful sunset it’s like nothing else! ❤️

Fab vlog and drone work ❤ can I ask how you have found the FWD for traction etc? I know you have the studded tyres ..have they been enough?? Any "getting stuck in the snow" moments? X

Honestly for 99% of the time fwd with studs is more than enough! We’ve not really had any issues till I slipped off the side of a track which will be in a future video but then the winch came in handy!

Great videos, love watching them. We've been to the arctic in summer but really wanting to do it in the winter!! Have a question...just wondering what vehicle your front seats are from? They don't look like standard ones and our van ones are soooo uncomfortable....thanks

Planning a trip up towards end of September, can you tell me did you have any problems with the antifreeze and cold starting the engine when the temperature got really low. Don’t really want to install an engine pre heater…. Best regards…🚍🏍👍

Honestly depends what temps you get… So the coldest we’ve had is -40. A diesel engine will barely turn over using a normal battery let alone start. September I don’t know if you will get the really cold but generally it’s not good for your engine to start when it’s massively cold. The pre-heater gets around this. Honestly for the little cost for one and the easy install generally I’d couldn’t recommend enough to fit one. We’ve got the Hcalory unit which was £260 and it’s brilliant.

As far as anti freeze you need to have the right level of glycol in your coolant. We did a coolant drop with -40 coolant and had issues at -36 with it going slushy. I’ve then removed 1.5L from the header tank and replaced it with 100% glycol. It’s been fine since. What I will say is it’s possible to get -30’s very easily! In future I’d prepare for -50.
