    That's pretty much my first impressions too. Mine's unfortunately still in the box - it was meant to be my 2020 bow, but the last couple of years have taken away opportunities to set it up and use it. I agree with the overall assessment - bow is excellent for its price. Some of the accessories (string, plunger, rest) are items which you end up upgrading on any bow.

    This kit is fascinating. I see the value if this kit, I’m not anti no-name manufacturers; but, for US1,000.00, I rather buy a used 300.00 Win, Hoyt or Samick. A used set of limbs for 150.00 Samick, Win, Hoyt.

    Interesting about certain elements looking like other brands. At the end of the day, there are only so many ways to make a riser/sight bar/insert-part-here, and with all makers (hopefully) working towards the same goal of maximising performance at a given price, things are going to look similar. I know some people get into a bit of a tiz, but I have no issues with it. As long as it works.

    Yea I was discussing this with a mate yesterday. There is obviously a grey area between complete innovation and then blatant copying of other design / technology that's in the market. In this instance, it was obvious that Sanlida has taken design choices from other popular equipment, however there is technically no technology here that isn't on every bow in the market. I personally think that Sanlida could do better if they changed some design elements and built its own brand rather than try to catch the overflow from others designs. This equipment is NOT at the cutting edge of design and innovation. What it IS, is an excellent quality product for consumers at a great price point, and I think this is generally a good thing as it will force the top brands to keep innovating and improving their designs to stay on top. They can't just stamp out the same bow year after year in a new shade of blue and expect to own the industry!

    Nice vid. Looked hard at getting that kit but ended up putting a bow together for the same money. Nearly new Mybo Wave XR riser, Galaxy Gold Star limbs, AAE free flyte rest, Avalon sight and stabs... really happy w/ the set up. I've read that the X10 limbs are the same as the Gold Star limbs.

    You spoke about having watched Jake's Myth review, he had some uneven limb tips that he had to fix, how were the limb tips on this kit? Your experience with the rest is similar to what I've had with other Chinese brands after my first rest broke, with the tape being too spongy, the arm not being the ideal shape and the grub screw coming loose. After a few different brands I bought the Shibuya and should have just gone with it from the beginning. I'd be interested to see how that sight is going a month later if it's still as tight. It certainly looks like a Axcel Achieve and Shibuya Ultima had a baby with the best elements taken from each sight. I really like that they included the quick change sight pin from the Achieve. If you can buy spare blocks of those for quick changing to another pin or mirror for clout would be very handy. The other thing I wonder about is what Sanlinda's support for buying parts is like? Shibuya and Axcel you can easily get parts for their sights and rest and that's not something to underestimate long term.

    Great comments. For the limb straightness, we did a basic limb alignment for this set-up video, but didn't screen for limb tracking. A good sign was low limb flutter. Perhaps we'll do another tuning video if there is enough interest and go through that. In more detail. As for the sight, it's probably the thing that I was most surprised by. It's very good, and Nino says it's still tracking clean. My dealing with Sanlida has been pretty good. Their website is not the best in terms of online store, but their communication with me has been very clear and helpful. I am mindful that this may be different as a KZreadr to a normal customer, so if you do deal with them, then I'd love to hear about your experience. I think they could accomodate your spare parts. Other than that, I gave them some pretty blunt feedback on their rest, plunger and clicker, but it was well received, and after receiving basically the same feedback from Jake as well, I got the impression that they are going to change their rest and plunger design. I think the most disappointing thing about the rest, plunger and clicker is not that it's terrible... but it just isn't up to par with the rest of the bow, which is excellent. So in contrast it looks cheap. For the price though, I'd do what you did, and buy the kit but fit it with a shibuya rest and plunger.

    Yes, I think its a great option for getting started out with a full kit. Getting good 2nd hand gear is also a good option. It just depends on budget, what you can get for your money and also personal preference TBH. At the end of the day, your skill, technique, training and HOW you set up the bow will make more difference than what bow you shoot.

    As far as the riser goes would you rather have the sanlinda or a used Win & Win INNO CXT ?

  • @RogueArcheryTV

    @RogueArcheryTV

    Жыл бұрын

    Ooooh that's a tough question. I've shot some of my best scores with the Inno CXT, but I do prefer CNC machined risers over carbon. For the money, I'd probably go with the Sanlida Riser, which is excellent, but if you could get the W&W 2nd hand for a good price then that'd be a great buy as well. Either way, the bow will shoot better than you can, so the rest is up to your technique and training! 💪🏹🎯🔥

    Thank you for helping. I have been away from the sport for 50 years, was wondering what you set your top nock at for this bow? I know this is basic, but I trust what you have to say. I have been told 1/4 and 1/8 above center to get this right from the start would be very helpful, any other adjustments made to bow, arrow rest, pressure button, center shot that you have tweaked would be greatly appreciated. I have a lot of catching up to do. From what I have seen, what is not to like on this bow? Sorry for being so long winded. Thank you for having such an informative site. Rich

  • @RogueArcheryTV

    @@richardpettit2541 no worries Rich! That's a good starting point for the nocking point, it's impossible to say the ideal nocking point for any bow straight up. You'll need to do a quick bare shift tune to get your NP height dialled in.

    Have you figured out the proper arrow for this bow? I am just now buying this bow, and as a novice in archery, I would like to know which arrows to buy. I am buying the 30# limbs. Thank you.

  • @RogueArcheryTV

    @RogueArcheryTV

    4 ай бұрын

    The right arrows to use will depend on your skill level and budget. For example, if you are an intermediate level archer, then something like the Easton Avance Sport may be a good option, but there are many alternatives. All arrow manufacturers will make a variety of spines, and you should check the manufacturers spine chart with your draw weight and draw length to figure out which spine to buy.

    How are X10 limbs compared to the X9 limbs?

  • @RogueArcheryTV

    @RogueArcheryTV

    2 жыл бұрын

    I havn't personally tested the X9 limbs, but I believe that they are a carbon foam limb with less expensive UD carbon laminates. The MD carbon laminates in the X10 limbs provides extra stability through the shot and if it's within your budget then that's what I'd recommend. If however, they are an intermediate set of limbs for training or that you plan on upgrading, then I think the X9 limbs would be good too.
