Sanisi: Holding a Lap Harp
This video was taken in ONE try with no fancy editing. If I repeat myself... it's because it's important. PLEASE comment your preferred way to hold your lap harp or with questions! I love questions!
#1 - Your comfort - use the center of the strings as a guide to how to hold the lap harp.
#2 - Stability of the lap harp - everyone is going to have personal preferences about what works for them. Stand/legs, strap, lap-bar, or nothing extra needed. (P.S. I forgot to mention some set a harp on a small STOOL or BOX to get it at a comfortable place.)

When I say "tiny harps" I am referring to harps with 22 or fewer strings. The specific harps in this video:
Derwent Discovery 16 in natural. Made by #Derwentharps #DerwentDiscovery16
Harpsicle SE Fullsicle in walnut (26 strings). #harpsicle #lapharp 26-string lap harps are the largest sized LAP harp I have seen so far; I recommend legs and stands for 26-string harps! 😍
(This video is not sponsored. Talk to a harp teacher if you are looking into buying/renting a harp.)

Thanks for this video! I have several small harps - who made the 16 string in this video?

This looks like a Derwent Discovery 16--a small lap harp of 16 strings. Derwent is in Great Britain.
I'm thinking of buying a 19 string one of these I have seen on Amazon. Would a 19 string be OK for putting between my knees as in your video? Thanks

You should check out this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ooOuj9aDna7Ucqg.html (Good harps should last more than a year.) Choosing a harp is very tricky; I highly recommend chatting with a harp teacher about your goals and budget! Any harp sold on amazon or ebay has the chance of being a dud; it's risky.
