Here as Sanibel Island takes a direct hit from Hurricane Ian. The destruction is just devastating! Hope this wonderful island will be rebuilt soon. Stay safe and strong everyone 🙏🏼

Sanibel Island is so beautiful and relaxing. Sights mentioned if short on time: Lighthouse, Bowmans beach, Blind Pass and Turner Beach (great for shelling), JN Darling Refuge (low tide best time to go, National Shell museum, Sanibel Historical Museum and Village, Renting bikes (personal favorite of ours!), Old Pioneer cemetery. Food: Jerrys Groc, Baileys Groc, Loveboat Icecream, Grandma Dots for seafood, MadHatter or Island Cow (wonderful food!). Captiva sights: The Green Flash Rest (seafood and water views), the Mucky Duck, Bubble Room for desert. Thanks for the wonderful video !!

Don't put things on a bucket list. Just do it. I put Sanibel /Captiva on my list and now it has been devastated by hurricane Ian. Looking forward to your amazing comeback Sanibel /Captiva 🙏

They use to have free parking in the 90s , problem was people would stay all day and there was very limited beach parking ,so unless you got there by 8 am, goodluck ! I use to go at 4am before sunrise an hunt by flash light i got amazing large conch shells . My best one washed up right behind a guy walking about 50ft in front of me 😁

This video paints a romantic and iconic place I have been watching many shellers...and they all come up with a variety of 8 different shells. It's hard to believe you when you sand there are over 250 types!... I call b.s.

Perhaps. I have found much more than 8 and much less than 250. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤣 I have seen that statistic in a number of places though. Here is just one. portsanibelmarina.com/shelling-of-sanibel/how-to-find-perfect-shells/

An island with no free parking designed to cater to the super rich. It will cost you 9$ at the bridge and hourly parking anywhere on the island. The only ways to get there for free is to ride a bike or take your own boat.

@@montanaliving4769 Parking passes are really only for residents of Lee Country, they are around $300 a year. 😅General parking for anyone visiting the island at the beaches $5.00 per hour if I remember correctly. Turner Beach has great shelling especially during low tide! Blind pass is also a good shelling spot. 🙂

@@SuperLalalandXD The money grubbing council lost so much revenue from shutting down the beaches during the pandemic they raised the parking rates to over $20 for a couple of hours. Then they raised parking fines to $200! They are even on record during a council meeting discussing raising fines to offset their revenue losses! I'll never go back. Better beaches elsewhere
