500 for Tempo traveller. However if you take a cab upto ramban it will cost rs 150 and from ramban to jammu rs 200 per Person. The rates re high due to present road conditions.

You can buy from UTS app of Indian railways 3 hours before journey it's a local train service.

Udhampur sangaldhan same bus se jaate hain Jo jammu se aati hai. Udhampur bus stand se regular service hai ramban tak.

Hello aapne yeh journey kab kari thee..Kia train main crowd bahut tha...I had decided to take this train from Srinagar on 3rd March Morning to Sangaldhan and then from there to Jammu. But was not sure of the road condition from Ramban to Jammu, so decided not to take...I am eager to know if on 3rd March I had undertaken this train till Sangaldan, then could i have reached Jammu by 3rd night...please aap iska bata do...thanks

We took this journey on 23 February. The road condition from ramban to jammu was such that it took us 9 hours to reach jammu from ramban. There is one more thing that the road from sangaldan to ramban is as bad as banihal to ramban. There were landslides on sangaldan to ramban too. It's better to take train from banihal to jammu instead of sangaldan.

@@countryexplorer Thank you...actually I was so confused that day on 2nd March night to take the journey or not...on 29th and 1st and 2nd we were in Gulmarg and it was snowing heavily ..Gondola also got closed..then we reached Srinagar on 3rd and were about to take this train journey to sangaldan at 10:45 from Srinagar...Someone said nothing will happen, go till Sangaldan as it is 40 km ahead of Banihal and the road to from Banihal towards Ramban is blocked..so go till Sangaldan and take taxi to Jammu...one person said if road is blocked, you will be stuck on the highway and will have to spend journey on road etc..we had our train booking from Jammu to Delhi on 04th March and had to reach Delhi at any cost..so we decided to take flight from Srinagar to Delhi...we cancelled our Jammu to Delhi train booking and took flight...which costed us a lot...so I was wondering I shuld have taken a chance to go by train to Sangaldan on 3rd March and then reach Jammu somehow and take 4th March train..it could have saved me so much money...but now i have lost so much money on this flight journey plus hotel in gulmarg costed us a lot

What you did in my opinion chose comfort instead of sufferings. I can assure you that you took a good decision. No doubt you spent extra but it was not a waste. Take it as an adventure trip and forget about you could have saved money. Next time if you plan Kashmir trip take. Flight from delhi-sgr and never trust the highway. Or best would be to take a direct train from delhi-srinagar when it gets ready this year.

@@countryexplorer Sure.i was ready for sufferings but had to reach Delhi by 4th evening at any cost..It could not have been avoided, hence took the flight. agar time hota i would have taken this train route..I have been keeping an eye on news to see when will this direct train get ready. I was optimistic that by January or Feb this year it will be ready as railway minister had declared..Vande Bharat and one more...any idea when this direct train will start

There is a direct bus from jammu to sangaldhan. The bus fare is about Rs 220 and the bus leaves from early morning. You can also take a bus upto ramban and from ramban there is regular bus service to sangaldan.

The tunnel is ready and going some final makeover. The line from Katra to srinagar is scheduled to be ready and operational by July 2024.
