We made a couple of small mistakes, here they are, just in case you're learning as you watch: Orks turn 3: the single Boy with the Slugga could have shot in the shooting phase. Not game changing. Orks turn 4: the Burna Boyz fell back, so wouldn't have been able to fire in the shooting phase. Silly mistake, but it didn't change anything; the end was in sight.

Back when I was about 8, myself and a couple of friends were getting Gorkamorka for Christmas. We were discussing the game when the immortal words escaped my mouth "My nobs gonna be well hard." A girl in my class with no knowledge of 40k or Gorkamorka overheard this and gave a typical "Ew, what the hell" reaction. At which point I had to stumble through the explanation that "Ork Nobz" were effectively the leaders units in Gorkamorka. I don't think she really believed me....

Thided! Commentary can sometimes be a bit stiff people are too invested, whereas penny knows the rules but isn't super serious, so it made the game feel lighter and more fun.

As someone who often is introducing new folk into the game, I can really appreciate Guy's soft play. Good sport Guy.

The combination of faithful narrative intro and outro: coupled with nonchalant apathetic grumpy pants commentary made this possibly the best battle report i have ever seen.

That voice that you do when you're telling the battle's story is some of the most metal stuff I've heard short of actually screaming

Necrons at small point levels are insanely powerful, you just don't have enough firepower to reliably wipe out a whole squad to avoid reanimation protocols

If you really want to see insane power levels in a 500pt game, just take something like 3 invictor warsuits and a smash captain, or perhaps a leviathan dread and iron father feirros. Or maybe just a knight crusader. Of course, doing this does make you a total dick. But that's the price you have to pay for insane power.

Cracking video, really enjoyed the banter. Definitely need to get Penny to do another. I hope she got her omlette.
