I agree. I didn’t like the film “Poor Thing” and didn’t like Emma’s character. The acting didn’t strike me. I was amazed with Sandra’s acting in both films.

That moment of her forgetting the translation to very specific German terms to English was very relatable :D

She is such an amazing actress. I've been a huge fan now for years and to see her get that international recognition is amazing. She deserves so much respect.

i have to say though, it can be hard to find the correct pronunciation of a name (not to speak of then actually pronouncing it right). google returns so many low-quality and incorrect results for these searches. somebody should create a wiki for this.

They didn't award diversity last year just for the sake of diversity; they award technical excellence that also is diverse. It's entirely possible for non white actors to *also* be technical excellent and to say that they won over white people only becuase of their race is very reductive. That's the same as saying white people winning awards over their non white counterparts because they are white.

Indie und Arthouse Filme laufen immer in kleineren Programmkinos, auch in anderen Ländern. Da wissen gefühlt nur mehr Leute zu schätzen, während hier gefühlt alles was nicht im Cineplex gezeigt wird direkt als wertlos angesehen wird. Menschen, die sich n ganz bisschen mit etwas anspruchsvolleren Filmen und/oder Theater beschäftigen, kennen sie auf jeden Fall.
