Great work, were you able to recover some of the abrasive?, I mean didn't see a tarp on the ground, do you make your own crushed glass sand?

1 hit and gone 😔 I don't bother trying to reuse just for the speed aspect. I once was 3 bags short on 1 job so I scooped some up I spent the next 8 hour trying to get all the small bits of crap out of pot 😂 clean screened media is less hassle 👍

I own 10 trailers like this and also have my own Hodge Clemco set up. Mega handy and enjoyable in small doses! The biggest problem I have is vision. I bad corners you can literally see nothing, due to the blowback. How do you get around this? Thanks

I have a question. I have never blasted anything but a pipeline weld so really curious, does it matter what kind of media you use? I have a whole pallet of green diamond 20/50. I'm going to be blasting a semi trailer (lowboy). If you know that would be awesome. Thanx

If you could send some photos to info@mobileblasting.co.uk I can advise/quote from them. Regards Mick ps Sand hear in the UK is illegal to blast with we use silica free crushed glass on this job I used 250kgs on the face's and 500kgs internally on the I beams all in all around 750kgs could have been less I didn't keep track but that's what I would load the van with to do another and hope for some spares

Do you sweep and reclaim your sand?
@Mobileblaster
2 жыл бұрын
No I had 1 goal when I set off doing mobile do as much blasting as possible in the time given I'm setup for speed. Reclaiming media don't fit in with my business plan I know I could save money doing so but I cannot bill to be sweeping up so its 1 of 1 half dozen of the other

The process seems to put a ton of dust into the environment. How do you capture toxic items like lead paint.
@Mobileblaster
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah your right it is very dusty and extremely loud. I cannot speak for others but I test for lead paint (not on this as it was too new and wouldn't have been around when lead was used) as lead paint is banned hear in the UK. I also use none toxic media. Kiln dry sand (sillica sand) as also been banned hear in the UK (to blast with) so Ideally only approved media's should be used 👍

My channel is only to show how I do the work not a business lesson 👍 would you ask the same question to McDonald's, apple etc? I make a modest living and believe me I work hard for it. I can almost guarantee what ever number you have in your head you can half it and still be way above my profit👍
